Solo city vacation

Yesterday afternoon I left from Jogja to Solo, I decided to use land transportation services,
namely by taking the train from Yogyakarta Station to Solo. I chose to take the KRL train at 7 am
departing from Maguwoharjo Station and all the way from Jogja to Solo I really enjoyed the trip,
knowing that the AC economy rubber was so comfortable, all the way to Solo I enjoyed the natural
scenery of rice fields and plantations that were so green and I rarely found them. So that the green
natural scenery spoils the eyes is a very beautiful sight for me to enjoy in the morning when the sun
begins to shine on the earth and the night dew is still left soaking the leaves of the trees along the way
to Solo. I didn't think the hourly journey time was so fast, I didn't feel the rubber that I was traveling in
finally stopped at Purwosari Station. In Solo, there are two stations that serve as stopovers for rubber
from the direction of Jogja, namely Purwosari and Solo Balapan stations.
And this time I chose to get off the Purwosari station because transportation access to Klewer
Market which is a batik wholesale center in the city of Solo and Kareton Surakarta is very close and can
be reached by many transportation services, namely Becak, Taxi and Angkot. I chose to take an angkot
because the distance is quite close and the cost is quite affordable, which is IDR 5,000/person. This time,
my vacation in the city of Mr. President Jokowi, I started by visiting an angkringan which was in the
middle between the Klewer market and the Solo Palace. So that the angkringan is a place for me to fill
ammunition in my stomach and provide energy for my short trip in solo. My goal this time to solo is
really special to hunt for batik and visit the Surakarta Palace which is a list of tourist destinations that
have long been included in my travel agenda, and only realized now when I have free time to take a
vacation in between my busy work
After enjoying breakfast at the angkringan as well as medicine to satisfy my longing for the food
menus at the angkringan which are delicious and quite friendly in price while imagining my habit of
eating at angkringan when I was a college student, where angkringan always answered my needs on old
dates when money ran low and had not received shipments from my papa and mama hehe.
After finishing breakfast at the angkringan I decided to take a trip to the Klewer market, actually
Klewer market is not far from the Bringharjo market which is located on Jalan Malioboro Yogyakarta.
Along the roads and stalls in the market, there are many traders selling clothes made of batik. Because
my intention to go to Solo this time was to do batik at the Klewer market, so I ended up buying some
batik clothes and batik blazers that I could use for work and fame.\
After being satisfied with batik hunting, I finally continued my journey back to the Solo palace
which was located as complex as the Klewer market, and bought tickets at the ticket sales counter and
enjoyed historical tours at the Surakarta palace.
This time my tour was a little disturbed by the closure of several wards which were still in the renovation
and restoration stage, even so I was still enthusiastic about enjoying every corner of the view of the
Surakarta palace which was not much different from the Jogja palace which I had often visited during my
education in Jogja. The only thing that distinguishes the Surakarta palace is that the building and area of
the palace is not so big compared to the Yogyakarta palace. However, it was very fun for me to enjoy
and there were so many replica or original rubbers and items from the palace or belonging to the king or
sultan that we could see and take pictures of.
I was so hypnotized by the rows of rubber bands that lined the terrace of the ward which was so
amazing and beautiful and was always cared for every day by the courtiers. I also had time to capture
the moment to my cellphone camera. How beautiful the Surakarta palace and the history of the
kingdom are, which is quite a bolt to add to my knowledge about the nation that I love.
The place where beta was born. Thank you solo for all your beauty and the legacy of historical
tourism and traditions that you still hold fast to in the midst of the strong current of globalization and
the advancement of digital technology that is so great. Before going back to Jogja I decided to enjoy a
glass of Dawet Ice and Serabi Solo which was colonized by street vendors beside the Keraton Palace.
After that I decided to go back to the station and return to Jogja to finish a bit of my work and also my
short vacation in the city which is always special. for me and always have a story for me.
