Good morning, today I would like to bring about a brief elucidation about Vietnam

Cybersecurity Law which has just been enacted in recent years.

Since social networks and media flourish ubiquitously at such incredily accelerating
rate, human beings are ever before, prone to being mentally assaulted. Particulary, in
VietNam, the rate of cybercrime and cyberbullying has been increasing significantly.
Therefore, in 2018, the Government introduced a new additional law.
The 2018 Law on Cybersecurity imposes stringent regulations on network security
protection and proposes measures for addressing violations, with the aim of enhancing
order maintenance and safeguarding network security. The goal is to establish a secure
and healthy cyberspace for the populace of Vietnam.
The Cybersecurity Law of 2018 consists of 7 chapters with 43 articles of law that
strictly regulate national security protection activities. These are the duty of
appropriate agencies, persons, and organizations that protect society in cyberspace.
In the Law we may discover numerous highlights. One of these highlights, which I
found extremely innovative and interesting, is that children on cyberspace must be
protected. Article 29 of the 2018 Cybersecurity Law, which is considered an extremely
humane regulation, provides that: Children have the right to be protected, to access
information, to participate in social activities, to have fun and to be entertained, and to
maintain their personal privacy and other rights when participating on cyberspace. As
the developmental rate of social media has been critically hastened, secured access to
Internet should be prioritized when the users are mainly children and teenagers. In
most cases, they are the nullible target of cybercrime and cyberbully. Therefore, the
introduction of Cybersecurity Law would help to protect and ensure a healthy
psychological development among children.
