Written Report Instructions
1. Structure:
A. Introduction:
- The purpose of the introduction is to give your reader a clear idea of what your written
report will cover. It should provide some background information on the specific
problem or issue you are addressing, and should clearly outline your answer.
- The final sentence or two of the introduction which tells the reader your focal points
and aim.

B. Main body: Paragraphs:


- The body of the written report should be organised into paragraphs
C. Conclusion:
- Usually one paragraph
- Reminds your readers of what the written report was about
- Provides a summary to your written report
D. Referencing:
- List of references will start on a NEW PAGE
- References must be included using APA style.

2. Format:
A. Title page:
- The title page should contain: Official Header of HCT, Title of Written Report, Name of
students, Students’ ID Number, Course Code and Name, Due Date, Name of Lecturer.
(Check page 3 of this document)
B. Page setup:
- Spacing: 1.5
- Font Style: Calibri
- Font size: (Headlines: 14) / (Text: 12)
3. Marking:
- You will be working in groups (4-5 students per group). Marking will be as per the Rubric.
4. Deadline:
- Thursday 25th November, 2021 (11:59 PM)
