School Wide Budget

The first thing that I noticed when I was looking over the budget for the school, I noticed that

the budget was much bigger than the year before. I know that the addition of new teachers was

the biggest adjustment of the budget, this adjustment allowed the school to be at full capacity

even though they are still short of a couple of positions. The proposed budget change is not

fully set in stone because new teachers are hired all the time. With the increase of some of the

items, there is very much needed, especially help with special education, students are being

diagnosed at a much higher rate and students that needed the services. The proposed budget

aligns with the SIP/CIP because the plan has everything to do with improving the school and the

level of education the students are receiving. By adding teacher, the principal is showing that he

feels that the students and teacher need a smaller classroom so the students will have the

chance for the teachers to reach them, the tutoring budget that the was increased was done so

that the students would be prepared for the state standardized test which will determine the

grade that the school will receive, the principal is looking for learning gains which will make the

grade of the school better.

I feel that adding funds to the school budget will not only increase the grades of the students

but will allow the school to improve and go to new heights.
