Some standards that help us create & maintain

a sacred space
COMPASSION: it is the essence of brotherhood. For it is what softens all the walls to our separation and allow us to meet each
other in our deepest humanity.

CLARITY: Without inner clarity it is impossible to know ourselves, and without outer clarity it is impossible for others to know where
we stand; we combat ambiguity at all times, by making it clear where we stand in regards to any issue that requires our action.

INTEGRITY: To become whole we must become coherent, aligning mind, speech and action with our inner truth. We say what we
mean and mean what we say.

EQUALITY: We shall not indulge in wanting to have power over another, nor shall we allow others to have power over us. Therefore
all council decisions must be unanimous and every voice respected equally.

NON-JUDGMENT: We remain humble when confronted with values, ideas and actions we cannot relate to. We give opinion only
when asked, and in absence of that permission we hold compassionate silence.

CONFIDENTIALITY: We hold precious and inviolable the trust of holding each others' failures, secrets, shames, fears, dreams and
stories; thus partaking of our shared humanity.

SHARED RESPONSIBILITY: We realize we cannot be carried forward in our growth, we must become
leaders to ourselves and rise to ful ll what can be done by our hands.

NATURE: we meet in nature to place ourselves back into the larger web of Life upon which we depend and
belong. To remember we are no more or less than anything in creation.

COURAGE: We recognize growth is expansion and can only occur changing ideas, patterns and well-known
paths. Growth is crossing a threshold into an unknown realm, and the toll for that gate courage.

AUTHENTICITY: Only what is true is real. We shed everything about us that is untrue.

FAITH IN EACH OTHER: We become a mirror for others to see the best in themselves by seeing it in them.

FREEDOM: We are free to decide to show up at the meetings, or not to do so. And free to reach out a
brother that we missed in Council.

SLOW DOWN: When we speed up, we get ahead. When we slow down, we get far

HONOUR THE LISTENING STICK: We are in-recognition of the divine that each man is, and is honouring the
stick we are bring our undivided heart in service to our fellow man

STEPPING OUTSIDE THE COMFORT ZONE: There is magic in the world outside the known, and we
constantly strive to excel our current selves in deep yearning to discover that is waiting to be awakened within

SUBTRACT THE INTELLECT: A vast ocean lay within our hearts, a heart that is all-knowing and all-caring.
In seeking to depart from our head, we seek to swim in that vast ocean that illuminates us with love and
freedom

NO UNSOLICITED COUNSELING: We recognize that each man is endowed with in nite resourcefulness and
is fully blessed with the inner authority to shape his own destiny. As such, we shall not offer unsolicited
advice unless explicitly asked
