Description/ Overview: This lesson is intended to provide the clients with information on breastfeeding including the proper ways on how to breastfeed.
Breastfeeding is the action of feeding a baby with milk from the breast and way of providing young infants with the nutrients they
need for healthy growth and development. Health professionals recommend that breastfeeding begin within the first hour of a
baby's life and continue as often and as much as the baby wants.
General Objective: After a 15-min discussion, the mother will be able to increase the knowledge of the breastfeeding mothers about the techniques and
the proper positions and proper ways on how to breastfeed and to be able to correct the common misconceptions about
breastfeeding.
Specific Objectives: 1. Cognitive The mother will be able to define breastfeeding, verbalize the importance of breastfeeding, and describe
correct latch on for successful breastfeeding.
2. Psychomotor The mother will be able to demonstrate proper breastfeeding positions.

3. Affective The mother will be able to state willingness to apply proper techniques in breastfeeding and integrate
proper ways of breastfeeding towards her child.
