Morning youth!

Have you ever felt insecure? Or are you feeling it? Actually, what makes you feel insecure? Are
your height and weight not ideal? Or about intelligence? How do you deal with insecurity? Well,
here I will give a short speech with the title ‘Make peace with yourself or hate yourself?’.
Before starting this short speech, let me introduce myself for a moment. I’m (ur name) and I’m
from high school number seven. My friend , said‘I don’t feel confident around beautiful women.
I’m insecure.’
So what exactly is insecure?
According to psychology, insecurity is a mental state when you feel too anxious and afraid.
Insecure can occur when you feel ashamed, lacking and not getting what you want.
Personally, I think everyone has their own insecurities. And that’s normal. Impossible if your
insecurities don’t exist. Why do I say insecurity is a natural thing? Because, if we don’t have a
sense of insecurity, then our arrogance is above average. However, if the feeling of insecurity is
excessive, it is also not good for us.
What exactly is the insecurity factor?
-We often compare ourselves to others. Starting from height, weight, facial curves and
intelligence. Without us realizing it, that’s what makes us not have enough self-confidence.
-In my opinion, social media is a means of causing feelings of insecurity. People share their
personal photos, so some of us who want curves are like everyone else. We even see appreciation
for his intelligence, and that may make us feel inferior. Over time, social media users in
Indonesia are increasing rapidly. Reporting from tempo-institute.org, in 2018 as many as 50
million people or 56% of the total Indonesian population used social media actively.
Then in 2020, social media users in Indonesia, according to Hootsuite (We are Social), had
reached 160 million social media users in Indonesia in January 2020. The number of social
media users in Indonesia increased by 12 million (8.1 percent) between April 2019 and January
2020. This means that almost half of the Indonesian population knows how to operate social
media. It doesn't stop with the operation of social media, it turns out that the impact of using
social media can affect a person's mental or mental health.
-Negative words or verbal bullying, including the feeling of insecurity. Negative comments or
harsh criticism will make us mentally fall and feel inappropriate in doing everything.According
to the Body Peace Resolution survey conducted by Yahoo, it was found that 94% of young
women have experienced acts of body shaming, while only 64% of young men. From the survey
results, we can see that young women experience more body shaming than young men. This is
because women are easier to appreciate subjective judgments than men. A woman will dislike
her own body size more and more when the size is further from the ideal.
As a result, if we have excessive insecurity or fear arises when interacting or communicating
with other people. Maybe she’s thinking, 'I don't fit in with him' All her evil thoughts are always
worried if he is interacting with other people.

So how do you deal with excessive insecurity?

First, don't compare yourself to other people.
-try to be yourself.
-don't right yourself.
Try to be grateful. God made us as perfect as possible. Although no human is perfect. We have
different potentials, we are born with advantages and disadvantages of each. The advantages that
are in us are not necessarily in others. Stop equating your ideal with others. and do not equate
beauty standards with others.

let's make peace with ourselves, because we are all precious.
