ESSAY
Creating a sustainable future is an issue that is becoming more vital in society nowadays.  In
recent years, the Earth has been facing an impending ecological disaster due to the
overconsumption of natural resources. From my perspective, two key tactics are to
immediately take effective measures to preserve what we have left to ensure that our planet is
sustainable for future generations and to promote environmental education for children on the
consequences of activities such as excessive energy consumption.

One reason that the conservation of natural resources is an element of sustainable

development is that resource depletion would result in an ecological imbalance that would
harm both current and future generations of humanity. When resources are exploited
recklessly, many of them run out; nevertheless, by engaging in conservation, people can
reduce waste and manage natural resources effortlessly. Specifically, they will know the
safeguarding animals, reduction of soil erosion, and economic expansion are all advantages
of forest resources. Producing food for humans and livestock will be impossible if land
resources are eroded. Besides, vegetation loss will be forced on by a lack of water resources.
Therefore, renewable resources last much longer if used wisely and efficiently. For instance,
individuals can perform a variety of actions to conserve resources, which include conserving
water resources by lowering their usage of water, conserving electric resources by turning off
lights when leaving a room, and using public transportation would help prolong fuel and
reduce the number of pollutants released into the environment. Others can also bring a
reusable bag with them whenever they purchase items at the glossary store. Consequently, a
significant conservation effort could potentially be achieved if every one of us made even
miniature actions to conserve.

Another reason that promoting environmental education for children is a component of a

sustainable future due to the fate of the Earth will be in their hands, it is essential for them to
learn how to manage resources properly from a young age. Environmental education is an
approach that enables people to investigate environmental problems, work on solutions, and
take action to protect the environment. Furthermore, individuals' behavioral actions,
awareness of society, and selflessness all grow throughout the initial years of education. They
learn at school the values and behavior that stay with them and will lead them throughout
their lifetime. Instead of merely studying nature, environmental education is meant to assist
children to create a lifelong commitment to conservation. Likewise, a more effective,
sustainable, and livable world could emerge from this challenging difficult task. As a result,
sparking a passion for caring for and protecting the environment in children while they are
still in school that’s critical.  For illustrate, environmental education brings positive effects on
students of all ages. Stanford University evaluated how the subject impacted students from
primary to high school in 2017. After reviewing over a hundred scientific research on the
subject published by various universities between 1994 and 2013, they determined that 83%
of students improved their ecological behavior and 98% increased their achievement in other
subjects such as math and science.

As the global population grows, the natural resources on which we rely become scarcer.
Individuals need to act currently more than ever to preserve these resources and secure a
sustainable future, besides, environmental education for children, in addition to conservation
initiatives, is critical for inspiring the next generation to make a good effect on our planet, we
may then provide the foundation for a happier, ecologically aware future.
