Subject: Re: Complaint about The Wheelchair Rental

Dear Mr. Duperrier,

We are deeply sorry for your bad experience with us. We completely understand your feeling
and fully take responsibility for what happened.

Regarding our policy, please kindly note that we do not, and never will, charge any service
that aids disabled customers to fly with us. What happened to you was because our new staff,
Mr. Tim, was confused with the extra services policy and assumed that all customers needed
to pay for the wheelchair rental service.

We have strictly disciplined Mr. Tim and made clear to all staff about this policy at all
airports where we operate. We assure that this type of mistakes will never happen again.

As we know how serious this problem is, we would like to express our apology and offer
anything that would ease your anger in person. Please let us know your available dates and
times to help us arrange the meeting better.

Again, please accept our apology for this regrettable mistake, and we are looking forward to
hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Anh Tran

Subject: Re: Warning for negative behavior problem at work

Dear Mr. Robins,

This letter will serve as a written warning concerning your autocratic attitude and never
listening to another opinion.
I want to remind you that we have the Company’s Code of Conduct and you have to
remember one thing a consensus decision reflects mutual understanding, agreement to
support a decision, and commitment to take action steps for the benefit of the group.
Moreover, before making any decision, you have to listen to others democratically. This will
be your last warning if you ever show the slightest bit of unacceptable behavior,
then disciplinary actions might be taken.
I hope that you will listen, and I look forward to seeing the change in you.
Yours sincerely,
Thu Hoac

S&L COMPANY
PROJECT MANAGEMENT REPLACEMENT

INTRODUCTION
This report is to summarize the four shortlisted candidates and to give my recommendation
for choosing out one best candidate for the new manager position of the international project.

SUMMARIES OF THE FOUR CANDIDATES

Ruth seems to be very assertive in talking about her direct management style.

Eduardo describes himself as consensual. He says he is a good listener, and he is good at

sorting out staff’s problems.

Kazuo says he would like to consult staff on all decisions, but he does not allow
disagreements or arguments. There seems to be contradiction in his managment style.

Martina says that she sets goals and lets people decide how to get the job done. When she
gives out tasks to staff, she expects them to work with their own methods.

RECOMMENDATION
After carefully considering all four candidates, I think Martina would be the most suitable
person for the international project team as she gives clear goals and allows people to work in
their own way in order to achieve them.

ABC COMPANY
CANDIDATES FOR PROJECT MANAGER POSITION REPORT
Introduction
The purpose of this report is to evaluate the four candidates for the job of Project
Manager.
Summary of shortlisted candidates
Candidate 1: Ms. Ruth
She is a Sales Manager who is very supportive and responsible for work. She monitors
the performance of her employees by providing clear goals and instructions. She is,
nevertheless, high demanding, and she lacks the skills to cope with global employees.
Candidate 2: Mr. Eduardo
His noteworthy quality is his ability to work across cultures, as he treats everyone as an
individual. He is an approachable leader who can inspire employees to look forward to
coming to work. However, he is indecisive and struggles to create clear goals, both of which
are crucial managerial abilities.
Candidate 3: Mr. Kazuo
He is a well-organized and committed employee who always puts the company's
interests first. His democratic qualities and ability to define clear goals stand out. However,
because he is demanding and does not allow disagreements at work, he may upset the staff.
Candidate 4: Ms. Martina
She is an ambitious and responsible individual. She motivates her employees by setting
clear targets and using a bonus system. Moreover, she gives responsibility and authority to
her employees, allowing them to do tasks in their unique ways.
Recommendation
From evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the four candidates, I realize that Ms.
Martina is the best suitable candidate for Project Manager. She owns appropriate strengths
and characteristics which are essential qualities to be a good team leader. I believe she is the
greatest candidate to assist our organization in overcoming existing challenges and
effectively completing prospective projects.
