EXPLANATION

1. Power is the rate at which work is done , it is a scalar quantity and it SI unit is Watt.

Other units of power include, horse power (1 horse power is equivalent to 746 watt) , Joule per second (J/s) , mega
watt, Kilowatt, Gigawatt etc

The dimension of power is ML²T-³

2. 8^x = 32 ; 8 can be express in exponential form as 2³, while 32 can also be expressed in exponential form as 2⁵

Hence the expression become 2³(x) = 2⁵

2 is common in both side , we can eliminate the 2 and we will have

3x = 5

X = 5/3
3. Ideal gas equation is defined as the relationship between Boyle's law, Charles law and Avogadro's law. It is given
1
as PV = nRT

Where P = Pressure ; V = Volume ; n = Number of mole; R = Gas Constant ; T = Temperature

Ideal gas does not exist in reality. It is a hypothetical gas proposed to simplify the calculations.

An ideal gas is a theoretical gas composed of a set of randomly-moving point particles that interact only through
elastic collisions.

4. A transition metal is one that forms one or more stable ions which have incompletely filled d orbitals.

Other characteristic of transition metals include

• They have variable Oxidation state (Fe²+, Fe³+)

• They are good catalyst ( e.g iron in haber process in the production of ammonia)

• They form coloured Compounds (They are used in the production of coloured glass)

• Transition metals form complex ions (Ligands)

5. Option C would have also been correct if it was phrased as " it converges when it passes through a concave mirror"

Mirrors are of 2 types : Plane mirror and Spherical Mirror

The most common spherical mirrors are Concave mirror & Convex mirror

Concave mirror are also called converging mirror (They Converge Light rays) while convex mirror are called Diverging
Mirror ( They diverge light rays) "ray is the path in which light passes through"

For Lenses , we have two common types: Convex Lens (Converging lens) & Concave Lens (Diverging Lens)

PS: Lenses Refract light while mirrors reflect light

6. Magnetism is the force exerted by magnets when they attract or repel each other. Magnetism is caused by the
motion of electric charges.

We have magnetic law of attraction which states that " Like charges repel and unlike charges attract"

7. All except option A lacks grammatical correctness

8. A tooth is a hard , calcified structure found in the mouth of many vertebrate and it is used to breakdown food
particles

A tooth is made of 4 main parts , they are

• enamel ( hardest part)

• Pulp tissue

• Dentine

• Cementum

9. Circulation of blood in the human body is classified into two

1. Systemic Circulation: it involves the supply of oxygenated blood from the left ventricle heart of the heart through
the aorta to all the body part

2. Pulmonary Circulation : it involves the transportation of Deoxygenated blood from the heart through the right
ventricle to the lungs ( blood become oxygenated in the lungs and it is returned back to the heart )

10. Digestion is the breakdown of large insoluble food molecules into small water-soluble food molecules so that
they can be absorbed into the watery blood plasma

Digestion of carbohydrates starts in the mouth with the help of the enzyme ptyalin, digestion of other food
substance like protein starts in the stomach ( this is the reason why carbohydrates digest faster than other food
substance)

ORAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS FOR 2022 PHYSICAL SCREENING EXERCISE
