ACTIVITIES

We conducted a house visitation on the first day of our community duty. At the Main Health Center of Irisan Baguio
City, we held our orientation, and following that, we searched for a target family to assess interview and survey.
Additionally, we completed "OPLAN TAOB" related to denguera in the barrio. Monitored vital sign of the residents,
and visited bedridden patients.

On the second day of our service to the community, we held a lecture and health teaching about nutrition in their
barrio. We discussed the significance of nutrition, six nutrition classes, and diseases brought on by poor nutrition.
Since the target family does not want to have a booster shot, we visited them again to confirm their concerns, provide
health information regarding their health, and emphasize the value of vaccination, and address any issues that had
been brought up.

On the last day of our community duty, we followed up with our target family and monitored again the vital signs of
the residents and provided health teaching.

KNOWLEDGE GAINED/SKILLS/ATTITUDE ACQUIRED

Our community duty has helped me improve my flexibility, patience, and communication skills. In the community,
there are a lot of things to do, so you have to be flexible that is how this duty improve my flexibility and patience.
Communicating with people in the community helped me improve the communication skills that I need as a nursing
student.
LEARNING INSIGHTS

With my patients and group members, I have discovered new ways to organize my time. I have gained knowledge in a
variety of areas that will help me become a skilled and responsible registered nurse in the future. Making people
happy after you visit them, check on their health, and notice in their eyes how grateful they are of your care for them
is flattering.

SUGGESTIONS/ISSUES/CONCERNS ENCOUNTERED/RECOMMENDATION

While I was in the community, I observed that there were many dogs, and their excrement was scattered all over the
area, that is why I suggest that people should cage their dog and regularly clean the feces of the dog because lots of
children were playing in there.
