Guidelines

1. The following must be included in the poster:


• Abstract
• Introduction (Background of the Study, Objectives)
• Methods
• Results and Discussion
• Conclusion(s)
• Recommendations
• References
2. The poster design/graphics must be in accordance with the theme or topic of the
study. The poster must be printed in high resolution and readable text design.
3. The poster must be printed in a 3×5 ft. size tarpaulin in a portrait layout with holes at
each end.
4. The recommended font type should be Arial.
5. The text format must be readable from a distance of 2 meters. The font size should be
at least 20.
6. A border must separate the text from the margin (1 inch each: top, bottom, right and
left).
7. Poster entries must be submitted to the committee the day before the conference.

Criteria for the Best Poster Presentation Award

• Content (50)
• Completeness, substance, and accuracy
• Relevance of the study
• Readability (25)
• Appropriate font size, print quality
• Obvious flow of information across the poster
• Appeal (25)
• Pleasing to look at balance, text, and graphics.
• Mechanical neatness, creativity, and appropriateness of graphic aids
