(ORIGANUM VULGARE) AS COCKROACH (BLATTODEA) REPELLENT”.

Cockroaches are one of the big problems in our households because they can spread

disease and it is hard to get rid of them which can cause a great deal of stress for people who are

dealing with them. They also contaminate your food with salmonella and streptococcus.

Knowing the different methods on getting rid of roaches can help those who are experiencing

roaches in their kitchen or in their household. This experimental research analyzes the

effectiveness of the calamansi that can kill or get rid of the roaches. The result from the

gathered different and various tests showed that the cockroach repellent is effective and

harmless to humans’ respiratory. The following are also risk factors that plays a vital role that

exterminate cockroaches and help to reduce vulnerability for those who are prone to

cockroaches in their home such as kitchen, rooms, storage room for food, and etc. As for the

repellent, it was found that the combined Calamansi (CITRUS MICROCARPA) with Oregano

(ORIGANUM VULGARE) are effective components

of repellent for killing cockroaches. It took 5-10 minutes for the cockroach to die.
