Do you still remember the speech we learnt in the last lesson?

My dad is a strong guy. He’s honest and hardworking. My mom

is a smart woman. She can do almost anything. I have two
siblings. They are my elder brother and younger sister.
Sometimes we argue, but we mainly get along.

My family likes being together. We usually watch TV and listen

to music at home. On weekends, we go hiking and have picnics.
We also like eating out and going to the movies.

 You can also say this sentence in this way:
• We like doing things together.

2. On weekends, we go hiking and have picnics. We also like eating

out and going to the movies.
周末，我们去徒步旅行和野餐。我们也喜欢外出吃饭和看电影。

 Go + ing
• We use go + -ing form when we talk about general activities that
involve movement(去从事某种体育或娱乐活动).
 E.g.
• go boating, go camping, go climbing, go dancing, go fishing, go
shopping, etc.

周末，我们去徒步旅行和野餐。我们也喜欢外出吃饭和看电影。

 You can also say the sentences in this way:

• We also enjoy hiking, going on picnics, eating out and going to the
movies together on weekends.

3. This is my family. We are so happy every day. Sometimes we have

our ups and downs, but we are still happy. I love my family!
这就是我的家庭，我们每天都很开心。有时候我们的关系起起
伏伏，但我们依旧很开心。我爱我的家庭！

 Sometimes we have our ups and downs.

 You can also say the sentence in these ways:
• Our relationship has its good times and its bad times.
• We don’t always get along.

I have a lovely family. I’m lucky to be a part of it. Let me

tell you about them.
There are five people in my family now. They are my
parents, my brother, my sister and me.
My parents love me very much. They do a lot for me.
When I need help, they are always there. My dad is a
