20:59:30 From Tara A : Is this like exposure therapy? if you're willing to go
thru it, then it has less feeling, less emotional experience. How is it different
from exposure therapy?
21:00:06 From Carlos Casados : Hey, Ant, I think this question got missed from
earlier after the break
Clarification: I want to make sure I am understanding what you mean by steps 6 & 7
My understanding about what you expressed for step 6 is that you want to end the
process with grateful suggestions around the completion and success of your
endeavors and let it go (release it) with a felt sense of faith.
Regarding step 7, it’s about committing to engage in a daily practice of some sort
that reinforces your intentions and that one should celebrate any micro-habits that
move toward the ultimate goals of the self-hypnosis focus.
Example: a future business meeting that we want to have, nervous about, want the
positive outcome, but the positive outcome has a big impact and while largely
positive, it is a bit scary or at least life changing (potentially)… and the
negative outcome might be status quo, no big deal in the grand scheme… ie trance of
emotional disorientation I suppose.
It has similarities but it is more reframe focused, if that makes any sense. In
exposure you expose yourself to the scary thing until the anxiety fades naturally
whereby you hope it overwrites your pattern in your brain. In willingness ladder
you change your relation to the experience itself.
