How Students Cope With Long Distance Learning amidst The COVID-19
Pandemic In Dipolog City National High School

Introduction:
Corona Viruses are group of virus which is a group of viruses that have a crown like
appearances when viewed in under the electronic microscope. Corona Virus causes
the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome(SARS).Pandemic Covid-19 has a massive
impact on global human life.
Covid-19 is new to us there's no cure and all student should stay at home when the
department of health figuring it out on how students study while they're at home.
Coronavirus disease (covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by new discovered
coronavirus. Most people who fall sick with covid-19 experience mild moderate
symptoms and recover without special treatment. As we cope with the impact of
coronavirus disease 2019(coronavirus 2019) pandemic. We experienced
unprecedented challenges and trials. News about closure of school due to the
impact and spread of the coronavirus has been a common thing. Modular and other
types of long distance learning have become the new normal.

Statement of the Problem:


This research attempts to know the learning experience on long distance learning
class of the students in Dipolog City National High School, its impact to its academic
performance. Specifically it seeks to find the answers to the following questions:
1. Is the student had a academic problem on long distance classes?
2. How large is the population affected by the problem?
3. Will the students submit their assign task without peer pressure?
4. What is their response of the new normal classes?

Hypothesis:
Covid-19 has a massive impact to on global human life. The pandemic due to
Coronavirus Covid-19 is becoming a serious global problem.
We should do something with this problem. Students must do something that could
help them to enhance their academic performance on long distance classes. The
students more likely affected to the problem and the situation were in right now. So
we are going to know what is their feeling right now and what was their reaction on
long distance classes.

Scope and Limitation of the study


This research was conducted to identify how students cope with long distance
learning and experiences of the students of their chosen learning materials/way of
learning. Furthermore this study is to know the learning experience of the students
amidst the pandemic in Dipolog City National High School.
Significance of the study
The result of the study will merit the following:
Students. This study will help the students to develop their academic performance
and how they’re going to maintain their time.
Parents. Who are directly concerned with the education of their children considering
school performance in different discipline.
Future researcher. The result of this study can serve as basis for further study on
what did the students do on long distance learning amidst the pandemic.
