1. What is the title of your study? How would you summarize your study?
Your answer:
The title of our study is “Investigating Consumer Preference Between
Traditional Retail Industry and Online Shops in Puerto Princesa City.” This study
investigated the factors that influence the preferences of both shoppers and stores, e-
commerce and digital platforms for online shoppers as opposed to traditional shopping.
A survey of city customers was conducted and the results showed that most customers
prefer to shop in brick-and-mortar stores rather than online stores due to their capacity to
see and contact items prior to buying, individual collaboration with salesmen, and the
comfort of shopping in an actual store. Online stores are preferred due to their wider
selection of products, lower prices, and ease of home shopping. The findings could be
valuable for retailers and internet business organizations who are hoping to more readily
comprehend their objective business sectors.Web based business has changed the
conventional retail industry in numerous ways, giving clients a more helpful and often
more reasonable option in contrast to shopping coming up. However, there are still a lot
of customers who value the social aspect of shopping with friends or family or who enjoy

experience of shopping in person. Additionally, there may be certain product
classifications that force customers to choose one shopping channel over another. For
instance, groceries and other household necessities may be purchased more frequently
in-store than online, while clothes and electronics may be purchased more frequently
online. In sa general, it will be fascinating to see what the study reveals about consumer
preferences in Puerto Princesa City and how these findings may differ from those of other
similar studies. The outcomes could be valuable for retailers and internet business
organizations who are hoping to more readily comprehend their objective business
sectors and designer their contributions in like manner.

2. What is/are the significant finding/s in your study?

Your answer:
Throughout this study, we noticed hesitancy and sometimes skepticism about
online shopping platforms amongst interviewees. However, some of the business owners
and consumers find online shopping very good while others still prefer traditional
shopping to online shopping. Some of them believe that online shopping is easy to use.
Yet, they might experience issues such as loss of purchases and thus loss of money. We
investigated different aspects of online shopping issues such as perceived trust,
perceived risk and perceived convenience of the consumers which varied due to the
passive knowledge and experiences of each one. Some of them have been using online
shopping very frequently, some just use them occasionally and just one participant
complained of a couple of bad occurrences and he seemed not to shop online anymore.
Unarguably, online shopping has its pros and cons as other things in life. However, the
customers who stress that they would keep using online shopping platforms, have taken
more or less one step into adopting it. The majority of participants are convinced enough
that traditional shopping is still the best choice. According to them, traditional shopping
has physical interaction that occurs between the seller, the buyer and the products
offered. Further, the instant service in traditional shopping is one of the important factors
that help them decide and afterwards shape their loyalty.

3. How confident are you with the accuracy of your results? Why do you say so? Your
answer:
As a research participant, I can attest to the certainty of our conclusions.
Confidence is increased by several factors. First, we adhered strictly to research
protocols at every stage. We collected data using methods that were well-
designed, reliable, and accepted by the industry. Our data's accuracy is increased
by this meticulousness. Second, we conducted a thorough analysis of the data
with the right techniques and resources. Our team used reputable techniques and
statistical analysis know-how to process the data. This aided in our ability to
interpret the data in a meaningful way. We quality checked and validated the data
to lessen biases. There was extensive data verification, triangulation of the data,
and consistency checks. We used these procedures to confirm our findings. Peer
reviews and team talks were also requested. We were able to better our findings
by identifying and fixing any research limitations or weaknesses thanks to this
collaborative method. Our conclusions are correct.

4. What are the specific contributions you made to your study?

My part in the study is a major contribution to the research. Specifically, I was able
to make a significant contribution to the research article we produced. I started by helping
with the study's planning and methodology. I became involved in the process of creating
the study questions and the data collection techniques. I then assisted with the subject of
the survey, participated in data gathering, conducted interviews, and made observations.
I have complied with the regulations and correctly and morally obtained the information. I
also reviewed the information. Statistical methods were used for data cleaning, coding,
and analysis. The data that contributed to the analysis were mined for useful information
by applying the appropriate statistical procedures. Being involved in the study is an
important contribution to the research. Specifically, I was able to make a significant
contribution to the research paper we produced. I started by helping with the study's

improve your study?
Your answer:
The unpredictable behavior and consciousness of consumer preferences can be
linked to a number of elements, including new fashion trends, technological
developments, and outside influences. Any changes in customer behavior and
preferences can be accurately captured by extending the study's duration or
executing it in segments. Additionally, it is essential that the research take into
account unrelated factors like economic conditions, sociological trends, or
governmental restrictions that may have an impact on customer inclinations. Such
factors can be included in the assessment to produce a more thorough
understanding. The study may have also relied on self-reported data, which could
have been skewed by recollection or social desirability biases. Researchers could
use additional methods like behavioral data analysis or observation to supplement
the self-reported data.

6. What did you learn from your experience in conducting the research?
Your answer:

This study improved our knowledge of the aspects that influence consumer
preference between physical businesses and online marketplaces. Using this information,
we were able to pinpoint the main variables influencing consumer decisions in Puerto
Princesa. We have been able to learn more about the cultural norms, economic factors,
and physical infrastructure that influence consumer behavior in this specific market thanks
to his unique expertise. Additionally, I had the chance to make a special contribution to
the industry and better grasp the needs, wants, and motivations of retail customers in the
distinctive setting of Puerto Princesa City. The findings of our research have given
conventional retailers and internet stores useful data they can utilize to enhance customer
service and compete in. Online shopping can save time for both the buyer and retailer,
reducing phone calls about availability, specifications, hours of operation or other
information easily found on company and product pages.

7. What do you want to learn more about research in general?

Your answer:
In comparison with the research that was conducted, I want to understand more
about specific study topics. Academic research is vital, and we wish to develop our
 skills. First, understand research methodologies. We investigate qualitative and
quantitative research approaches and how to use them. We prioritize mastering
research study design, which includes developing research questions, selecting
samples, and ensuring ethical considerations. We also enjoy learning data
analysis. We wish to perfect statistical analysis and data visualization. We seek to
improve data interpretation and conclusion drawing. We value research ethics and
best practices. Responsible research necessitates a grasp of ethical norms such
as informed consent, confidentiality, and biases or conflicts of interest. Literature
reviews are another area for improvement. We wish to strengthen our critical
analysis, gap identification, and gap closure skills to aid our research endeavors.

8. What are your plans to improve your research skills?

Your answer:
We can further develop their research skills by getting more comfortable asking
questions, learning how to arrange material, and discovering reputable sources,
among other things. As a student who has experience with research, I've invented
numerous strategies to increase my research abilities. First, I'd like to investigate
research approaches. Attending a workshop or taking a course on research
methodology could help me learn valuable skills. I also want to gain research
experience. You may collaborate with professors, conduct research, or study
independently. Participating in research projects allows me to learn about the
research process and apply what I've learnt in class. I also want to strengthen my
data analysis skills. To accomplish this, I must become proficient in statisticall
analysis approaches, algorithms, and data visualization. As I evaluate real
datasets, I improve at judging outcomes and developing conclusions. I examine
academic journals and evaluate previous works on a regular basis to improve my
literature review skills.

students overcome their research challenges. Another option is to design study-
friendly classrooms. This includes facilitating critical thinking, inquiry-based
learning, and peer review of research findings. You can create a research culture
that encourages students to conduct research and contribute to the academic
community. You can also provide timely and constructive feedback on student
research. This includes data analysis, research methods, and academic writing
support. Teachers can help students improve their studies and work by providing
constructive criticism and clear ideas.
