The selection of "Libreng Gupit para sa Pasukan" as the flagship initiative for the

T.L.E. (Technology and Livelihood Education) Department's participation in Brigada Eskwela

2023 was a carefully considered decision born out of our department's commitment to holistic

student development. We recognized that grooming our students for success extended beyond

the confines of traditional classroom instruction. It was essential to impart practical life skills,

and what better way to do so than by offering free haircuts to our student body? This initiative

not only bolstered our students' confidence as they returned to school but also emphasized the

department's dedication to holistic education. Moreover, it instilled a sense of community spirit,

as local barbers and hairdressers volunteered their expertise, fostering a sense of camaraderie and

unity among our students.

In addition to enhancing the students' self-

esteem, "Libreng Gupit para sa Pasukan" aligned perfectly with the T.L.E. Department's core

mission of promoting livelihood skills. By offering free haircuts, we provided an opportunity for

our students to gain practical experience in the field of cosmetology and barbering, potentially

opening doors to future career paths. This initiative exemplified the department's commitment to

marrying academic knowledge with practical skills, ensuring that our students not only excelled

in the classroom but also emerged as well-rounded individuals prepared for success in the real
