The opening of Academic Year 2023 – 2024 with a full blast of face-to-face classes after a period of
unprecedented global challenges marks a significant turning point in the lives of students, educators, and families
alike. As we emerge from the shadows cast by the pandemic, the reopening of CSUCC to the new academic year
carries a mixture of excitement, apprehension, and hope.

As the academic year unfolds, the Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus once again opens its doors to
a diverse community of students, each with their unique aspirations and backgrounds. The campus comes alive with a
vibrant and festive atmosphere as the PAKIGDAIT 2023 celebration takes center stage, echoing the theme of "Barrio
Fiesta." This event not only marks the beginning of another educational journey but also celebrates unity, tradition,
and the rich cultural tapestry that binds the Caraga State University community together.

PAKIGDAIT, a Visayan term that translates to "harmony" or "unity," embodies the spirit of collaboration and
camaraderie that thrives within the campus. It symbolizes the harmonious coexistence of different individuals,
cultures, and disciplines, all coming together under the banner of education and shared values.

The heart of PAKIGDAIT 2023 is the array of booths that line the campus, each representing a different facet
of university life. Local Student Government Colleges, including the College of Business Administration (CBA),
College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT), College of Industrial Technology and Teacher Education
(CITTE), and College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM), proudly showcase their own interpretations
of the Barrio Fiesta theme. These vibrant and creatively designed booths reflect the unique personalities and
contributions of each college to the university community.

The campus comes alive as the CSUCC Department Laboratory High School, the League of Campus
Organizations, and the Campus Publication "The Timberland" present their booths. These displays offer a glimpse into
the dynamic life beyond the classroom, highlighting the range of talents, interests, and causes championed by the
student body. Whether it's artistic expression, community engagement, or journalistic prowess, these booths are a
testament to the multifaceted nature of student life at Caraga State University.

The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) proudly stands as a symbol of discipline, patriotism, and
service. Their booth not only showcases the dedication and training that cadets undergo but also underscores the
importance of national pride and responsibility. The ROTC's participation adds a touch of solemnity to the festivities,
reminding everyone of the commitment to both personal growth and the greater good. Last but certainly not least, the
University Student Government's booth stands as a beacon of leadership, advocacy, and representation. Their presence
serves as a reminder of the power of student-driven initiatives and the importance of student governance in shaping
campus life. Through their booth, they communicate their dedication to promoting student welfare and enriching the
university experience.

As Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus welcomes freshmen, returnees, transferees, and old students
to PAKIGDAIT 2023's Barrio Fiesta, the campus becomes a microcosm of unity, tradition, and celebration. This event
is not merely a spectacle but a reflection of the shared values, aspirations, and dreams that bind the university
community together. As students, educators, and staff members gather around these booths, they embrace the spirit of
PAKIGDAIT, fostering a sense of togetherness that will undoubtedly shape their collective journey of learning,
growth, and positive impact.
