Battery advice
To maintain good status and long service life, the batteries must be external top-up charged at least every three weeks. Heating
This must be carried out even if the batteries appear fully charged. For systems with a high load on the battery with the

become very hot. Keep the area around hot components
The charger must have charge control and sufficiently high charging current: 10% of the batteries' capacity [Ah]. In one clean. Be observant when using the power take-off, for
example, the batteries have a capacity of 170 Ah. A charging current of 17 A must be used in this instance. example, in order that hot exhaust gases do not cause
damage.
The state of charge a battery can achieve is heavily dependent on temperature. At low temperatures the battery's ability to

receive charge is significantly reduced. At +25°C the battery has the potential to reach 100% charge status, but at –18°C
the same battery can only reach 50% charge status.

Cleaning around the exhaust system is very important.
Remember to clean all areas where dirt can accumulate.
In certain cases, bodywork may make it difficult to clean

the luggage area on each side of the truck. Certain trucks also
have a first-aid kit, warning flares and high-viz vests.

Cruise control
With cruise control engaged the speed is controlled automatically, which can be of assistance when driving longer distances
on major roads. Cruise control uses engine torque to control truck speed and the auxiliary brake to reduce speed if necessary
(e.g. on downhill gradients).
• Depress the brake pedal for a couple of seconds after the engine has started, otherwise cruise control will not function.
• Cruise control cannot be engaged at speeds below 30 km/h.
Do not use cruise control in hilly terrain, heavy traffic or on slippery road surfaces!
Fuel system
Always refuel fully! (Dual tanks that are connected to each other must be filled separately.) Refuel after the day's driving in
order to avoid condensation in the fuel tank due to temperature differences.
REMEMBER to always observe the utmost cleanliness when handling the fuel systems. Make sure that you have the tank
as well-filled as possible in order to avoid condensation forming. During refuelling you should always make sure that it is
clean around the filler hole and fuel filler cap. Be careful to filter the fuel from your own tank or own drum and ensure that
all containers are clean.
