Associating Overheads with Resources

Trigger:

Concept
The Resource Overhead Associations page enables you to associate overheads with resources.
You can assign resource cost as dollars per hour. If you enter a new resource, you can directly
enter a frozen unit cost. However, you cannot directly update the frozen unit cost for a
previously entered resource.

In this topic, you will associate overheads with resources.

Procedure

Step Action
1. Begin by navigating to the Resources page.

Click the vertical scrollbar.

2. Click the Manufacturing and Distribution Manager, Vision Services (USA),
Standard link.

3. Click the Resources link.

4. Use the Organizations page to select your organization.

5. Click the M1 Seattle Manufacturing list item.

6. Click the OK button.

or Press [Alt+O].
7. Use the Resources page to enter a resource name to describe the resource.

10. Enter the desired information into the Resource field. Enter "HG_TST_MCH".
11. Press [Ctrl+F11].
12. Click the Overheads button.

or Press [Alt+a].
13. Use the Resource Overhead Associations page to associate overheads with
resources.

14. Click in the Cost Type field.

15. Enter the desired information into the Cost Type field. Enter "Engineer".
16. Click in the Description field.

17. The Allow Updates check box indicates whether the cost type is defined as
updatable.
18. Click in the Overhead field.

19. Enter the desired information into the Overhead field. Enter "MfgEng".
20. Click in the Description field.

21. Click the Save button.

22. You have successfully associated overheads with resources.
