EVOLUTION OF FILIPINO MUSIC

(1500s – 2020s)

The art of music is very wide and universal. The video that we watched is very nostalgic. It
reminds me of the beauty of Filipino music. I love how it is acapella. Judging the artist, I
can't comment on anything. The skit is very constrictive; the voice and sound effects are very
clean. It is just perfect. The most outstanding part for me is the era from the 1970s to the
2000s. The music reminds me of my childhood and how life is so simple, where you are just
innocent and you know nothing. You just play in the morning and have a siesta in the
afternoon. I am just very happy to bring back those memories.

I would recommend this Tiktok video, especially for the youth who don’t really know the
true virtue of music. I am not saying that the generation of music nowadays is very trashy. It's
just some other artists don’t know how to use their platforms. We know that music can be
easily accessed in just one click. Even a five-year-old kid can access music on any streaming
platform. I am saying that explicit music genres should be prohibited under minor ages.
Additionally, music that normalizes drugs, sex, and other things that make people forget how
conservative Filipinos are. I am aware that the Philippines is continuously evolving from its
origin. We shouldn’t normalize something like that. Anyway, what I was saying is that we
should cherish the beauty of native Filipino music because this kind of music has had a big
impact on our society and our history.

Music is an extremely diverse and inclusive art form. We saw a video that evokes a lot of
memories. It makes me think of how beautiful Filipino music is. I adore the acapella style.
I'm unable to evaluate the artist or provide any comments. The voice acting and sound effects
are excellent, and the comedy is quite restrained. It is absolutely wonderful. The time period
from the 1970s to the 2000s is what stands out to me the most. The music makes me think of
my youth and how easy life was when I was young, naive, and ignorant. You merely engage
in morning play and afternoon snooze. Simply said, I'm overjoyed to revive those memories.
