ANSWER: Effective communication is essential for managing relationships
with your staff, customers and stakeholders. Poor communication can ruin
relationships, and potentially result in lost sales and a damaged reputation.
SUPPLEMENTARY ANSWER: Communication in business is important to
convey clear, strong messages about strategy, customer service and
branding

II. What is Business Correspondence. Discuss Briefly. (20 points)


ANSWER: Business correspondence means the exchange of information
in a written format for the process of business activities. Business
correspondence can take place between organizations, within
organizations or between the customers and the organization. The
correspondence refers to the written communication between persons

III. Discuss Aristotle Model of Communication (20 points)

ANSWER: Aristotle model of communication diagram


The Aristotle Model of Communication diagram can roughly be divided into
five elements. The speaker is the most important element, making this
model a speaker-oriented model. It is the speaker’s task to give a speech
to the public. The role of the audience is passive. This makes the Aristotle
Model of Communication a one-way model, from speaker to receiver.
IV. Explain Schramm Communication Model (20 points)
ANSWER: SCHRAMM'S MODEL regards communication as a process
between an encoder and a decoder. Most importantly, this model accounts
for how people interpret the message. Schramm argued that a person's
background, experience, and knowledge are factors that impact
interpretation.

V. In Communication Process, the Message plays an important role.


Why? (20 points)
ANSWER: The message is the stimulus or meaning produced by the
source for the receiver or audience” (McLean, 2005). The message brings
together words to convey meaning, but is also about how it's conveyed —
through nonverbal cues, organization, grammar, style, and other elements.
