SWE 302 – SIWES Report Preparation & Presentation.

1. You are hereby requested to write a report on your Students’ Industrial Work
Experience/Industrial Attachment and prepare to present same to the Department
(Lecturers) on a date to be announced later.

2. You shall be required to register/provide personal data, where you have not done so
earlier for transmission to ITF.

3. You will ensure that your Log Book fully reflects compliance i.e. showing full log of
activities for six (6) months and duly (signature and official stamp) endorsed by your
Industry based Supervisor.

4. Only students/candidates who fulfill (1), (2) and (3) shall be permitted to present
report their SIWES REPORT.

 SIWES REPORT 2021/2022.

Sequel to the earlier notice on the above subject, all 400 level students who have
prequalified (compiled with 1 and 2 of the said notice) are to prepare a SIWES REPORT
beginning now.

The report shall include:

1. Introduction – brief introduction of IT place. INTRO 5mks

2. a. List of methods applied (routine procedures student was involved in). LOM 5mks
b. List of equipment and apparatus students used in IT place. LOE 5mks
3. a. Brief outline of principles of operation of equipment. POO 20mks
b. Description of principles of methods mentioned above. POM 20mks
4. Conclusion – to include amongst others
a. Experience/Skills gained or acquired. E/S 5mks
b. Future prospects. FP 3mks
c. Challenges encountered in course of SIWES. CE 2mks

5. References. Ref. 5mks

Closing date for submission of written report shall be after you second semester
examinations. Date for defense shall be communicated to you later. Only those who
submit reports shall be assigned to a defense panel.
