The landscape of urban cities has observed a plethora of individuals moving from less central

areas to bigger cities with the hope of developing education and job opportunities. As more
people tend to relocate to urban centers, more issues and concerns arise, challenging both
city dwellers and novel residents. This essay will pose some serious problems that cities may
face as well as try to figure out some solutions.
One of the most significant issues in large cities is the high cost of living. Many from rural
areas have a greater likelihood of finding new prospects in terms of their career, business,
and academic reasons, mostly to shift their lives because of the glamorous facade of
metropolises. While most of them do not even understand how extortionate the cost of
housing, food, and other daily essentials is, which is significantly prohibitive for those who
live on an average income. To mitigate this problem, governments can pass some policies,
such as building affordable housing units, promoting more job and business opportunities,
and enacting rent and price control policies. These solutions will possibly be effective in
helping many citizens afford supplies and pay bills with a short budget.
Another pressing issue in urban cities is air pollution. Due to heavy traffic, congestion, and
industrial activities compounding air pollution, which can be drastic for urbanites' health and
quality of life. Authorities can take some action to handle and minimize this concern. For
instance, promoting cleaner and more energy-efficient transportation options, encouraging
the use of environmentally friendly products and vehicles, implementing stricter rules for
industrial gas control. These ways will probably improve the air conditioning and the citizens
health.
In conclusion, urban centers still have big attractions and merits for many. However,
problems are increasing in multiple aspects, I believe that governments and authorities
should give suitable and effective measures to stabilize those issues.
