Benefits of Working Part-Time during the Semester

Most students spend much more money than they were in high
school as they enter university. Therefore they work part-time
during the semester for making up their shortfall. Although
opponents of working part-time during the semester believe that it
can interfere with students’ studies, I am in favor of working
part-time for economic benefit and its usefulness in real life.
First of all, working part-time makes us smart consumers. When
we make our own money by working, we recognize the money that
we earned much more belonging to ourselves than when parents
gave us as pocket money because it is hard-earned. Therefore, in
the process of consumption, we think one more time about how to
spend it cheaper and more reasonable.

Second, the skills that we learned while working part-time are
useful in real life. We got lots of skills like arranging products or
cleaning during part-time. Although these can be tiresome and trivial
when we are working, we can solve some problems in real life more
effectively by applying the skills that we learned in part-time.

example is about my friend who had difficulty in talking with girls.
He learned about how to treat girls through female co-worker who
he met in workplace, and now he has a girlfriend.
To summarize, working part-time during the semester can be
stressful, but it has benefits that offset drawbacks. Because we can
see ourselves as wiser consumers by working part-time, and the
skills that we have learned through work can help us in real life.
Therefore, I'm in favor of working part-time during the semester
that not only makes money but also makes us better people.
