CHAPTER I

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

This chapter contains the introduction, theoretical framework, and statement of the issue,

hypothesis, scope and limitations, conceptual framework, significance of the study and definition

of terms used.

Introduction

. Understanding the causes and consequences of anxiety associated with practicing for or

delivering a speech in front of an audience has been the main objective of this study on stage

fright and public speaking. It first sought to understand the fears that students who have, a phobia

of public speaking, particularly oral presentations, go through and the coping methods they use

to deal with those fears. The second objective was to find if their anxiety affected how they felt,

about higher education. The following six final primary issues were produced after thematic

analysis and debate between the two researchers.

Students who struggle with public speaking and communication may experience stage

fear. The results of The Negative Effects Experience show that students' fears of public speaking

influence their capacity to learn, as demonstrated by their inability to participate in class, ask

questions, or stand in front of the class, all of which are crucial elements of enhancing learning.

Background of the Study

This study on stage fright and public speaking has as its significant objective to

understand the origins and consequences of anxiety associated with practicing or making a
speech in front of an audience. Even though "stage fright and shyness in social circumstances"

are some of its most typical symptoms, public speaking anxiety is a subtype of social anxiety

disorder. Oral presenting and public speaking courses are part of the Jose V. Palma Senior High

School curriculum. According to an earlier study, many students purportedly suffer nervousness

while speaking in front of an audience.

For this qualitative inquiry, there are two objectives. It initially set out to learn more about

the reasons behind students' fears of public speaking, particularly oral presentations, including

their experiences and coping mechanisms. The second goal was to see if they altered public

perceptions of higher education. Theme analysis and debate by the two researchers led to the

selection of the final six key themes. Students' anxiety about making oral presentations and

speaking in front of groups is detrimental to learning and the student experience.

Rationale Of the Study

The researchers conducted this study mainly to help students and everyone improve their

self-confidence when speaking in front of an audience. Additionally, this study that is pursuing

will support millions of people by supplying them with the best strategies for overcoming stage

fright.

Objectives Of the Study

The following are the specified objectives that the study must accomplish.

- The research aims to describe the demographic profile of the selected students

specifically their age, gender, grade level and section

- To enumerate the factors of Stage Fright that Affects to Academic Performances of the

selected students in terms of: Fear, Linguistic and Psychological Features, Lack of Public

Speaking, Unfamiliar Role and Negative Feedback.

Statement of the Problem

The Study focused on the effects of the stage fright to the selected 11-HUMSS B

student in Jose V. Palma Senior High School. This study seeks to analyse and prove what is

stage fright and to know what the contributing factors could be. It aims to answer the following

questions:

1.) Demographic Profile

1.1 Age

1.2 Gender

2.) What are the Factors of Stage Fright that Affects the Academic Performances of Selected

Students in terms of:

2.1 Fear

2.2 Linguistic and Psychological Features

2.3 Lack of Public Speaking

2.4 Unfamiliar Role

2.5 Negative Feedbacks

Theoretical Framework

According to Shermer, (2019), He commits a fundamental error when he groups all

"stage" ideas, even though reservations regarding many stage theories are well-founded. Clinical

psychology has been affected by "armchair" ideas, not cognitive developmental stage theories
like those of Piaget, Kohlberg, and Fischer. Thousands of peer-reviewed scientific articles

support them. One doesn't always feel secure.

It is unnecessary to fear that a bridge breakdown caused by poorly proportioned gussets

(an initial design flaw that the checker missed) paired with local overloading of the bridge

surface with building supplies meant for bridge maintenance. From the stages of grieving to the

phases of moral development, stage theories have no empirical foundation in the tale known as

science. They may be true for the storyteller, but it doesn't make them valid.

Conceptual framework

The conceptual framework of this study includes the input, process, and output of the

study. This study is all about how stage fright can affect the academic performances of the

selected students at Jose V. Palma Senior High School.

Here in the study shows the IPO model where the input has the demographic profile of

respondents where the researcher can say that there a difference between two people like age,

gender, grade level and section. The process has the step-by-step procedure on how the

researcher can gather the data that they need for thus study and after collecting all the data they

will check and tallied it. Lastly, the output here the researcher only focus on how the stage fright

can affect the academic performances of the students.

Scope and Limitation of the study

The factors of Stage Fright influencing the chosen students at Jose V. Palma Senior

High School were the focus of this research. This study is for the selected students at Jose V.

Palma Senior High School during the School Year 2022-2023. Thirty chosen students from all

HUMSS and ABM made up the study's responders.

The responders, who were the selected students, are the only ones who may utilize the

study's findings. Understanding how stage anxiety affects students is the study's main goal. The

sensation of embarrassment one goes through after a performance that doesn't go as planned or

as expected is one of the most frequent reasons for stage fright in pupils. When performing,

people could obsessively consider how other people would see and judge them. The fear and

worry that people feel before giving oral presentations are known as stage fright. Stage fright has

also been researched in the communication sector under numerous headings, such as public

speaking anxiety, avoidance, and audience anxiety. In this manner, we will be able to see the

effects on the individuals and determine how to address them.

Significance of the study

In this study, the researcher were going to concentrate on how students always experience

stage fright when interacting and taking part in all events on or off campus. The following

study's results will also be helpful in the following ways:

Teacher It will clarify things for the teacher/mentor so they can take advantage of the study and

grasp it from the Reacher’s perspective.

Students Committed learners who are interested in developing their critical thinking skills,

expanding their knowledge of the world of discovery, and strengthening their sense of self-

confidence.

Guidance staff They will be able to stand as though there is a sign or new information about

how every pupil is experiencing stage fright.

Parents Help parents comprehend stage fright and expand on their understanding of why it's

important for them to help their kids get over it.

Future Researchers Develop a campaign to learn more about this emotional issue and increase

understanding of stage fear.

Definition of terms

In this study definition of terms refers to an understanding of the study conducted in the way that

will be presenting them, for this reason should also define the term carefully. In a particular way

etc, it is very important to define the study to clarify every particular data.

 Stage fright is a feeling of fear or anxiety that someone has when required to perform in

front of an audience (either directly or through a screen, e.g., in front of a camera).

 Fear a negative feeling brought on by the conviction that something or someone is

harmful, painful, or dangerous.

 Linguistic Feature are certain circumstances that constrain how languages work. These

qualities could include specific noises, for instance.

 Psychological Feature looks to be a mental state that can keep someone from making the

optimal decisions.

 Public Speaking traditionally, speaking in front of a live audience, often known as

oratory or oration, has meant the act of doing so.

 Unfamiliar Role not having knowledge or experience of.

 Negative Feedbacks happens when a system, process, or mechanism's output is fed back

in a way that tends to lessen output fluctuations, whether these fluctuations are brought

on by changes in the input or other disturbances.

 Social Phobia is a persistent, severe phobia of interpersonal interactions. It's a typical

issue that often manifests in adolescence. It may be really upsetting and significantly

affect your life. Some people find that as they age, things become better.

 Anxiety is a typical feeling. It's how your brain responds to stress and warns you of

impending danger. Everybody has occasional anxiety. When faced with a challenge at

work, before a test, or before making a crucial choice, for instance, you could worry.

 Glossophobia is a prevalent phobia that up to 75% of people are said to be affected by.

At the mere prospect of speaking in front of an audience, some people can feel a little

uneasy, while others might feel complete dread and anxiety.

CHAPTER II

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

This chapter provides an overview of previous research in knowledge of having a stage

fright to any event. It presents the case study framework, which is the major subject of the

research covered in this thesis.

What is stage fright?

According to Pratama, (2022), this stage fright study describes the students' problems

when speaking in front of an audience and the solution they receive when participating in a

public speaking class. In addition, some students feel afraid because they are scared to make a

mistake in front of their classmates or friends. Based on my research student, encounter this

emotional expression as they think the perfectionism of being a student is because of their self-

confidence to show to others.

According to Tariq, Abdelatif & Bouazid, (2022), this research investigating Stage

Fright causes and effects among students finds ways to reduce stage Fright and become more

confident in front of the class. Ultimately, the study results revealed that stage fright is caused by

several factors such: as linguistic and psychological features and a lack of public speaking skills.

This study found out that every student can have these emotional expression problems students

can feel this in class and at any point in their life. But there is some way how to help them to

reduce this fear in their stage, guide them to be more active and strongly confident with

themselves.
According to Bippus, (2019), a two‐phase study of the explanations people have for stage

fright speaking experience impacted their ratings of these factors. Nine factors emerged:

Mistakes, Unfamiliar roles, Humiliation, Negative Results, Rigid Rules, Personality Traits,

Preparation, Audience Interest, and Physical Appearance.

According to Lefebvre, (2018), In this study, the students are reluctant to speak in front of

a large audience because they are unsure of what to say or do. They start to feel anxious or

apprehensive, which makes students hesitant to speak in front of a large audience.

Studies is also a large version of life, having this emotional expression problem's might

be solve, stage fight is an emotional expression where everyone has it. Workers or students can

eventually feel it. Every creatures that having stage fright has a big impact to everyone, some

research say's that it's leads to an anxiety. However, we can also prevent it.

It's a crucial feeling for everyone. Performance anxiety is most likely common for every

one of us. Physical symptoms are also included in everything that surrounds us will also help us

to prevent this feeling. A recent overview of research literature relating to performance anxiety

highlighted combining behavioral and emotional support of the individual. Skirven, (2021)

There is a genuine and widespread fear of public speaking on stage. Even though we live

in the contemporary day, there are still circumstances that might feel scary and dangerous. There

are various valid causes for your anxiety. The fact that Public Speaking is one of them is plain

unfortunate. Due to the decline of face-to-face communication, it is becoming increasingly

challenging to hold an audience's interest. Stage fear affects everyone equally. Discrimination is

not a topic of Stage Fright. Your age, position, standing in life, or level of experience have
nothing to do with stage fright. Stage fright may affect any type of person in any circumstance.

Deacastro, (2021)

According to Petry, (2018) This article offers tangible tips and guides for coaching actors

with stage fright. The article begins by defining stage fright and gives a call to address this

concern in a deeper way within actor training, with a focus on accessible exercises and

techniques for beginning students and teachers new to coaching actors with anxiety. Through a

contemporary literature for coaches, the article highlights important resources for coaches and

outlines clear steps for coaches and teachers relevant to actor training.

According to R. Villanueva, (2019), The anxiety you get when performing in front of an

audience is known as stage fright. The worry, dread, or persistent phobia that can be induced in a

person by having to perform in front of an audience, whether that audience is present or not, is

known as stage fright or performance anxiety.

According to Giray, L., Alcala, M. A.., Edem, J.., & Sabacajan, T. M., (2022). These

studies demonstrate that any student who has stage fright may have " anxiety ". Any of us who

wish to learn or speak another language will find it challenging. By utilizing a foreign language

in public, we faced a challenge. Any learner anywhere in the globe who struggles with the

English language is not alone. Students still find it difficult to talk in public while utilizing

English terms that might occasionally sound depressing and gloomy. Students experience worry

for several reasons, one of which is that emotional expressiveness. Additionally, stage fright

occurs when a pupil has negative beliefs that might make them worried and unproductive in life.

Additionally, nothing is said regarding the causes and effects of stage fear in study projects.
According to Bayang, D., Ghosh, M., Talaro, R., Velasco, Hal, (2019) Each and every

student has stage fear when performing in front of their class. They rely their confidence on who

their audience is and what they have to say since they are more worried about what other people

will think if their answer is incorrect. According to this study, they evaluated three different

audiences: friends, who expected the lowest PSA, strangers, who expected the medium-to-

highest PSA, and experts, who expected the highest PSA. Your confidence is impacted by your

thoughts, which causes public speaking fear. Anxiety related to public speaking is rather

prevalent.

According to Fagsao, Mi-ing, (2021) as a public speaker, you don't just get it from the time

you were born because being a public speaker is not easy, you must first be taught how to

become one. Almost all causes of stage fright are due to pressure from the audience because

when an individual is in front and reciting, they see the audience's reactions and looks at them

and because of that an individual becomes nervous to the point where he experiences a different

other symptoms of stage fright such as racing pulse and rapid breathing, sweaty and cold hands,

trembling hands, knees, lips, and voice.

According to Michael Schemers (2019), It is unnecessary to fear that a breakdown was

caused by this study that has so many issues to be considered regarding stage fright, we were

able to understand how the study eventually represented to see the conduct study.

How can stage fright affect us?

According to Troy, (2022) It is the most often stated worry since it affects 73% of

people. Anyone can have performance anxiety, including those who frequently speak or act in

front of large crowds. Even journalists, athletes, actresses, and other professions requiring public
speech. We can't escape it, especially if we're feeling uneasy. We also experience it when we

observe how others view us and wonder what they are thinking of us. In the article I read, it is

also stated that they take place when you are anxious about being evaluated for your

performance. This can also happen during class presentations, job interviews, social interactions,

public speaking, and other situations. Causes of Stage Fright Fear of criticism and rejection is the

fundamental cause of stage fright. An extreme fear of making errors, failing, or being

embarrassed may also exist in someone.

Dealing with stage fright is a big challenge to everyone sometime this is the sole reason

why the confident in our selves are get low. We feel scared when we speak with someone, we

don't have any control in our voice, we speak too fast to end up the conversation. Your hand's is

shaking, and you feel high. Your heart rate eventually speeds up. Some research say's that some

of those people having a stage fright are student 80% of every population of student or school

who having this emotional expression. But not just student have this or having this feeling, of

course co-worker’s or some of us who looking for a job, (job interview). Is also having these

feelings. Everyone can have this emotional expression it depends where you are going through.

Richter, (2022)

Studies show that among of the student are in counter stage fright through there

producibility in life, especially when they are in publication. For the student who having stage

fright it is more getting difficult for them to overcome this emotional expression. However, some

students feel uncomfortable participating in such cultural activities, as stage fright, an emotional

experience that the individual feels when exposed to a public audience, has a negative effect on

them. Moreover, this study also shows that those students who having stage fright is also have a

big impact for their everyday life production or any good life events for them to do, for the
reason of their emotional expression/bad thought problem’s, were they build bad ideas and a bad

imagination. However, it's also affected to a critical thinking of the student where is that could

lead them to have a bad choices and bad ideas for them to make. Mastrothanasis, Zervoudakis,

Kladaki, (2021)

Ways on how to overcome stage fright.

Do you find it difficult to face people and perform in front of them? talk to other people,

and put yourself in crowded places? How can we overcome this from us the presence of stage

fright. the article that I read, according to (Vanessa Van Edwards) says that these are the ways

we can overcome having a stage fright. When our thoughts are scattered, when we are rushing

around, when we don’t feel centred, it’s almost impossible to feel confident. When we think of

stage fright, immediately enters in our mind that is anxiety that we makes feel us nervous, afraid

to face people, shy to speak in public or crowded places. In this article that I read is also said that

according to Dr. Greene recommends progressively relaxing your body, take a deep breath while

relaxing our body and mind so that you can think properly. Instead of thinking about everything

that could go wrong, or all the last-minute things you need to remember, it focuses your brain on

something calming. We know it's hard for people who have this fear of public speaking and

stage fright, but we know that can be changed. keep improving our performance in front of many

people. self-improvement is the key to achieving this goal. Edwards, (2018)

According to Raja, (2019) you can overcome your fears in front of many people when

you first practice speaking to people you know that you are not shy, for example, practice

speaking in front of your friends that you know you are comfortable with. when you get used to
it and you are no longer shy, and now, try to face many people and speak a little more to increase

your confidence in front of them.

Synthesis

It has been demonstrated that there is a significant likelihood that students lack

sufficient drive and confidence. Students' mentality and emotions are strongly impacted in a

variety of circumstances that have an impact on their performance, and they constantly feel

common sense. Along with relevant expertise that digs deep enough to recognize the pressing

issue that almost all speech writers have mentioned. The study will be helpful, according to a

factor analysis of the observed symptoms for this measure that rating scales have attracted a lot

of attention. There is a ton of proof in each instance demonstrating the crucial moment that might

be extremely advantageous for every pupil. Recommend the positive feedback from many

individuals who are unable to fool the other sign in the same manner as well as the high quality

of time assessment and evaluation.

Experiments on behaviour that have been developed with additional substantial

contributions will be used to determine how participation in the circumstance will be impacted.

Connection is laid down for many things as well in meditation techniques. Situations where

confusion is a significant probability also apply when the affection is at low levels. People

recommended performing, maintaining self-concept and motivation, and investing time in a good

and happy mindset. Having high-quality time increases self-motivation, which subsequently

propels numerous actions toward implementing lifestyle modifications. Making assertions and

creating routines in several applications from numerous items around you also greatly benefit

your character.
CHAPTER III

RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY

This chapter discusses the research techniques the researcher will use to carry out the

study, including the research design, respondents, study location, research instrument

development, establishing the instrument's validity and reliability, data collection techniques, and

the appropriate statistical treatment of data.

RESEARCH DESIGN

According to Josselson, R (2022) the goal of narrative study is to investigate and

conceptualize how the human experience is expressed in writing. Aiming for a thorough

investigation of the interpretations people make of their experiences, narrative researchers use

small participant samples to produce voluminous and unrestricted discourse. The value of storied

experience is highlighted. Typically, this involves interviewing persons with knowledge of the

relevant subject, but it may also entail document analysis. Researchers from a wide range of

fields, including anthropology, communication studies, cultural studies, economics, education,

history, linguistics, medicine, nursing, psychology, social work, and sociology, use narrative

research as a mode of inquiry.

LOCALE OF THE STUDY

The Locale Study where research will be conducted is at Jose V. Palma Senior High.

They will be the respondent’s interviews with the response will take place inside the school. The
researchers decided to conduct their research inside the school, since that is where the

information they need regarding students with stage fright is pertinent to the school. When

a researcher has a stage related query that’s need to be covered in the interview, they can

perform research. For the answer from our researchers to be throughout, the researchers will

also make sure that they understand the questions they asked.

RESPONDENTS

The respondents of this study are the selected students at Jose V. Palma Senior High

School. The researcher chose these selected respondents because they believed they are one who

have enough knowledge to answer the question that is in this study.

They are the ones the researcher need because they match what they are looking for in

someone who can be interviewed about stage fright. they chose them because they have

experienced it and know what triggers them and calms them down whenever stage fright strikes.

What the researchers need is 30 respondents who can answer the questions they have

prepared for this study and so that they can get the information they need for the study to be

conducted. They are the ones who have enough knowledge to answer the questions posed in our

study. They are also the ones the researchers need because they have been seen to experience

stage fright in front of our class. So that they can also know their method for reducing their

feeling of stage fright. They also need 30 students to be our respondents in our study so they can

do a survey and give questions to the respondents about stage fright.

RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS
The researcher uses an interview for gathering information. The interview consists of

open-ended questions formulated based on the research questions. The researchers will provide a

interview that is centered on the subject the Effect of Stage Fright. The chosen participants who

suffer from stage fear will be questioned by the researchers. The chosen individuals will discuss

how they overcome their anxiety of speaking in front of a group of people. But before asking any

inquiries, the other researcher will utilize a reviewer who is knowledgeable about the subject.

The interview will consist of two parts. Which is Part 1 is the profile of the respondents which

include their age and gender, Part 2 consist of questions related to effects of stage fright to the

selected 11 HUMSS-B Student in Jose V. Palma Senior High School.

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

Records from the guidance office of students who are experiencing or have experienced

stage fright are not enough information for the data, so they decided to conduct an interview.

After the instrument has been validated, the researchers will secure a written permission from the

principal of Jose V. Palma Senior High School. After receiving consent, the researchers informed

the chosen 11-HUMSS B student of the study's objectives and ensured that each participant met

their predetermined criteria. The researchers used interviews to get the data, asking subjects

about demographic characteristics like age and gender. The second section of the interview will

help to determine the issues the respondents had. Throughout the interview with the respondents,

the results will be evaluated, collected, and analyzed.

Chapter IV

Presentation, Analysis, and Interpretation of Data

This chapter presents the gathered data in paragraph presentation, analysis and

interpretation of findings based on the result entitled Factors of Stage Fright to the Academic

Performances among Selected Students at Jose V. Palma Senior High School.

Data Presentation and Analysis

The following were the results of the study.

1.Demographic Profile

1.1 Age

Based on the interview the researchers conducted, the age of students who participated in

our research study ranges from sixteen to twenty years old, where more students aged

sixteen and above than below.

1.2 Gender

Based on the interview that the researchers conducted shows that there are more female

participants than males, where there are eighteen female students and ten male students

who participated in this study.

2. Factors at stage fright that affects the Academic Performance

2.1 Do you consider fear as a factor of stage fright that affects Academic Performance?
Based on their responses, the respondents largely concur that fear is a factor of stage

fright that affects academic performance because they think fear has the greatest

likelihood of doing so because it keeps us from participating in school activities. After

all, they are afraid of crowds which can cause someone to lose confidence. While fear

might stop us from growing, it can also spur growth in many other ways, such as teaching

us to be compassionate and humble.

According to Tandas, (2019), many people experience extreme nervousness when

performing in front of an audience, notably among high school students. Students face

several obstacles when it comes to performing well in school; these obstacles frequently

experience impact their performances. The first emotion kids experience is fear.

2.2 Does linguistic and psychological features be a factor of stage fright that affects

Academic Performance?

Based on the respondents' responses, majority based on students concur that linguistic

and psychological characteristics plays a role in stage fright, which has an impact on

academic performance, which is why the answer is "YES." They believe that if you

become anxious when performing in front of them, it may harm your performance. The

researchers must work on public speaking and speech delivery to overcome our phobias.

Not everyone concurs; some respond "MAYBE" in response to their experiences; among

these, they essentially respond based on their academic success.

Public speaking is essentially a live performance in front of a crowd. The majority of

people have to present in front of real audiences. Since public speaking in front of a live

audience, there are a few special considerations to make. Practice your facial expressions
when making speeches or performing live if you want to pursue public speaking.

Spencer, (2021)

2.3 Do you consider Public Speaking a factor of stage fright that affects Academic

Performance?

Based on the respondent's answers, the majority chose "YES" because they believed

speaking in front of an audience was the typical experience for them. Since doing so

requires individuals to confront their anxieties, trepidations, and fears, their academic

performance at school is affected. They feel nervous when speaking in front of an

audience.

According to Papafragou (2017), linguistics and psychology are a person's language,

which includes a thorough, objective approach to all facets of language in specific. While

psychology is concerned with the state of our minds, it also touches on a person's

emotions and thoughts.

2.4 Do you consider Unfamiliar Role as a factor of stage fright that affects Academic

Performance?

Based on their responses, the respondents largely concur that stage fright can affect

academic performance because they think that when they take on unfamiliar roles, they

will struggle. After all, the word "unfamiliar" implies that they are not yet familiar with

that role, as if they don't know how to perform it. As a result, they experience fear and

lose confidence because they don't know how to perform the role that they are taking on.
According to Enago, (2022), career paths in academia and research include giving

academy lectures. Let's face it, though, many professionals in these professions prefer the

privacy of a small lab to the attention of an audience. You can be one of the many

individuals who feel stage anxiety when it comes time to present your work to an

audience on stage.

2.5 Does Negative Feedback a factor to have stage fright that affects Academic

Performance?

Based on the respondents' responses, most concur that receiving negative feedback

contributes to staging fright, which affected academic performance. This is because it is

believed that when people talk, they are constantly seeking feedback to continue the

conversation. After all, in that situation, it is difficult to know the other person's attitude

or opinion. Feedback is important, so when they hear it negatively, they lose confidence

and are less likely to participate in school activities because they are afraid of the

criticism they might get. On the other hand, they also claim that sometimes it makes us

better in the future.

Most of us become nervous while speaking in front of others, so they either rehearse

constantly or never speak in front of people. At some time in our life, whether it be at

work, a wedding, or a school function, they all have to speak in front of an audience.

Daryl, (2022).
CHAPTER V

Summary of Findings, Conclusions, and Recommendations

This chapter presents a summary of the research that is presented, and findings of the

study are discussed and interpreted. Some recommendations are provided to give information as

well as to conduct further research concerning the same field or issue.

Summary of Findings

Based on the accumulated data on having stage Fright that affects academic performance

and investigation, it learned that the causes of this behaviour meant to reduce fear. Getting

anxious when someone asks about a specific issue was one of the reasons causing public

speaking anxiety, but students were able to manage mild discomfort. Additionally, individuals

experience stiffness before giving a speech, as a physiological aspect that contributes to public

speaking anxiety. However, they were able to manage and keep the stress under control. Senior

students' preparation for public speaking involved choosing an interest-related topic. On the

other hand, anticipating their emotional response was not considered much in the study. Students

had been using the strategy in order to effectively deliver the speech.

Conclusion

The resulting demographics based on the interview the researchers conducted; the age of the

students who participated in our research study ranges from sixteen to twenty years old however

the gender mostly females has a high respondent than males. While in the grade level, they have

fourteen students in grade eleven and nine in grade twelve. And lastly the section the researchers
have more HUMSS students who participated than ABM. Twenty-two HUMSS students

participated, and eight students in ABM participated in this study.

The result of this question is that some of them agree with this because they experienced it when

it comes to fear. All the questions are based on their specific problems or experiences when it

comes to speaking in public or performing their academic performances.

The result of this question is some of them agree and others are not because they have different

experiences and beliefs when it comes to linguistic and psychological. A lot of their answer

agree with the statement or questions about having stage fright like fear, linguistic and

psychological, public speaking, unfamiliar words, and negative feedback this is the factor of

having a stage fright.

The result of this question is all of them agree with this question because all of them are

experienced in public speaking, they have fear and nervousness when they perform in front of

people or audiences. They answered it based on their particular organization or community.

Stage fright is one of the main problems of students when they perform in school such as

reporting, speech delivery, and sharing their thoughts and experiences.

The result of this question is all of them agree with it because, for some of the unfamiliar words,

it is very difficult for them to give them a correct pronunciation and definition as well. Not only

students have encountered this situation with stage fright, but a lot of people have experienced

this kind of stage fright, especially in their work, business, interview, and appointment.

The result of this question is all of them agree with that because after our performance it either

had negative or positive feedback it is not easy to have a negative, but the good thing is, it is our
way to enhance and to improve our performance when it comes speaking to them and sharing

your thoughts. One of the best solutions to control our stage fright or to enhance our self-

confidence is practice our self to speak appropriately and correctly when speaking or performing

to a lot of people.

Recommendations

For suggesting recommendation in this study, there are several aspects which can be further

investigated in order to see the relevant information and give more details in different approach

as follows,

For those who have fears like students, learners, and workers, you can practice how to calm and

relax your mind such as deep breathing, relaxation exercises, and meditation. Exercise, eat well,

and practice other healthful lifestyle habits.

For every student they can practice controlled breathing, meditation, and other strategies to help

you relax and your thoughts when they turn negative. It is best to practice some types of

relaxation techniques every day.

For everyone who experiences stage fright exercise, eat healthy food to get enough sleep, and

live a healthy lifestyle. Focus on yourself and not on your fear and just remember the enjoyment

that you are providing.

For those who like students don't focus on what is wrong but rather focus on the positive.

Visualize your success.

For every student, avoid negative thoughts when you are in a hard situation, try to be open and
