5(a) Design an interior wall of a three storeyed building carrying eccentric load due to unequal short
span of roof/floor of 5m and 4m on either side of wall . The height of each storey is 3.1m.
Loading are as follows from Roof= 8 KN/m2 & from floor = 4 KN/m2 (6)
(b) Write down steps of lintel design? (6 )
6(a) Design an interior wall of a two storeyed wall carrying concrete slabs with a storey height of
3.2m . The wall is stiffened by 230mm thick intersection walls at 4000mm c/c. Also wall has
opening of size 90mm X 2000 mm at distance of 250mm from one face of the intersecting wall
Assume loading as from Roof= 11KN/m & from floor = 18 KN/m (6)
(b) What are the failure mode of brick masonry structure define with sketches? (6)
