Dear Parents,

Greetings of the day!

The student council plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the school through the
implementation of various disciplines. It is an organization that gives the students an opportunity to develop
leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. It also acts as the voice of the
student body while sharing student ideas, interests, and concerns with the school-wide community.

We are glad to inform that we will be soon starting with the process of Student Council Election.

STEPS FOR STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION:

1. MONDAY, 10th JULY 2023 & TUESDAY, 11th July 2023 - FILING OF NOMINATIONS.
Interested students will be required to give their nominations by putting their names in a chit that will
be provided by the teacher in the class, and dropping the chit in the ballot box that will be circulated
in the class.

2. WEDNESDAY, 12th July 2023- INTERVIEW AND SCREENING OF THE NOMINEES.

Interviews will be conducted to assess the candidature of various positions. There will be 3 candidates
chosen for each post. Selected students will get an opportunity to run for elections.
The candidates will be screened on the following criteria:

a. Taking Initiative
b. Inclusivity
c. Decision Making
d. Communication Skills

3. THURSDAY, 13th July 2023- ANNOUNCEMENTS OF FINAL CANDIDATES.

The same will be announced in the classes and in a subsequent circular.

4. MONDAY, 17th July 2023- CAMPAIGNING BY CANDIDATES

Candidates can make 2 creative and interesting posters for their campaign.

5. TUESDAY, 18th July 2023- ELECTION SPEECH

Candidates will be required to give a 2-3 minutes speech in the assembly.

6. WEDNESDAY, 19th July 2023- CASTING OF VOTES

Kindly note that the students of Grade 6,7,8,9, 10 and 11 will participate in the election of positions
from 1 to 15 given below.
Similarly, students of Grades 4 and 5 will participate in the election of positions from 16 to 21.
The Student Council will consist of the following posts for the year 2023-2024:
