1. REPLACE ID CODE BOX


1. Replace ID code box
(a) Remove the air conditioning unit.
(b) Remove the ID code box.
(1) Disengage the claw and remove the ID code
box.

2. REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU


1. Replace certification ECU
(a) Remove the instrument panel upper.

(b) Remove the ECU aggregation box assembly.


(1) Remove the 2 nuts and remove the ECU
aggregation assembly.

(c) Remove the certification ECU.


(1) Disengage the claw and remove ECU
aggregation cover NO. 1 from the ECU
aggregation housing.
NOTICE:
• Do not damage the claw of the housing.

(2) Cover your hand with a static protection bag,


Static which was supplied with the new ECU.

(3) Remove the certification ECU from the ECU


aggregation housing.
NOTICE:
Hold the certification ECU on the
connector sides, wearing the static
protection bag. Do not touch the elements
or soldered portion of the certification ECU
directly with bare hands because it may
cause damage due to static electricity.

(4) Use the static protection bag that was used to


cover the hand to cover the removed
certification ECU.
HINT:
When returning the replaced certification
ECU, place it in the static protection bag and
then in the box, both supplied together with
the supply certification ECU.

(d) Install the certification ECU (Supply part).


(1) Tuck up the static protection bag to the middle
and fold it back and then hold the supply
certification ECU on the connector sides
through the static protection bag.
NOTICE:
Do not completely remove the certification
ECU out of the static protection bag but
hold the certification ECU on the
B107904 connector sides through the bag. Do not
touch the elements or soldered portion of
the certification ECU directly with bare
hands because it may cause damage due
to static electricity.
(2) Hold the supply certification ECU on the
connector sides through the static protection
bag and insert it into the ECU aggregation
housing along the guide rail.
NOTICE:
• Do not install the certification ECU
upside down.
• When installing the certification ECU
Guide Rail into the housing, do not let the elements
come into contact with the housing.
• Do not completely remove the
certification ECU out of the static
protection bag but hold the certification
ECU on the connector sides through the
bag.
• Do not touch the elements or soldered
portion of the certification ECU directly
with bare hands because it may cause
damage due to static electricity.

(3) Engage the 2 claws to install supply ECU


aggregation cover NO. 1 onto the ECU
aggregation housing.
NOTICE:
• Match the shape of the cover with that
of the connector to avoid installing the
cover upside down.
• Make sure that the 2 claws on the cover
are securely engaged.
• Replace the cover again when it is
cracked or damaged during or after the
installation.
