1. Notice important information for sensor installation


1.1 Check connector and plug for traces of humidity, dirt, mechanical damage and assure that the contacts
are free of oxidation and strait. The pictures below show how cable and plug look in factory condition.

1.2 Check the connecting box for damage, oxidation or humidity.

1.3 Measure the electrical resistances between all wires and shield. All measurements has to be infinite Ohm.

1.4 If any of the cable connectors does not look like in proper condition or the resistance measuring of one
wire is not infinite, the cable has to be renewed.

2. Installation of new sensor


2.1 Handle the pressure sensor carefully. The sensor is a precise and sensitive measuring device that might
be damaged by mishandling during transportation or the installation process. Avoid shocks and excessive
vibrations. Do not throw or drop the device.

2.2 Do not touch the membrane. This could cause a zero-shift of the device or a permanent damage.
Remove protection cover after installation.

2.3 Protect the sensor’s connector and the cable ends from humidity.

3. Return of changed sensor with cable


3.1 Avoid damages when uninstal the sensors of other parts.

3.2 Always send back sensor together with cable for valuation complete system inhouse. Sign the used
sensor (recommended with permanent marker) with name of tank and error (current).
Please make a note, if the connection box is not OK, see 1.2 sample of a polluted HNA connecting box.

3.3 Do not separate cable from sensor or sign also the cable with name of tank.

3.4 Do not clean the menbrane if it is soiled. If possible put plastic caps on the membrane and on the plug
connector.

3.5 In case of return shipment to Hoppe, please attach a shipping note with:
- Ship‘s name
- NB-No.
- Claim or Order No.
- Hoppe Reference no. (See Hoppe delivery note)
- Name of tank
The shipping note may be even handwritten.
Purpose of redelivery:
e.g. Return delivery Claim, credit note, repair, valuation
