what elements make up the contemporary world, what its origins are, and how it started. It
stated there that the contemporary world refers to our modern world, which we live in, which is
knowledgeable of high-end brands and their products and how only the wealthy could afford
them. How we always patronize brands from other countries. How we are exposed to various
products that contribute to our needs and wants.

I was speechless because I was exposed to how deep the contemporary world is. I gained
much more information about the contemporary world. I am also amazed to be informed that all
of us are interconnected with each other by some means. Meaning that even if we live in
another country, practice a totally different lifestyle, and believe in different sets of beliefs, at
some point in life we are always connected by, for example, the products that we use, our way
of treating medical conditions, and our knowledge of what the latest and most grossing movie
right now is.

Being grateful was another thing I achieved when I learned that there are terms that I had
never heard of that are essential to know in order to understand what globalization is. One
example of this are the processes of globalization, of which there are three: translational,
transnational, and global. I was really confused as to what these terms meant, but thankfully,
the narrator in the movie explained it so well that I was able to understand and interpret it on my
own.

It really is amazing how globalization works and how it is just inevitably functioning, and
nobody can stop it. I found out that globalization happens because people seek a new way or
method on how to ease their lives or satisfy their new sets of needs. Globalization never stops
because our needs and wants are constantly changing, and globalization is always there to
adapt to them. And to know that every individual here on Earth is constantly helping and sharing
ideas with each other in order to develop a new way of life or adapt to the ideas they just gained
fascinates me.

Watching this video gave me mixed reactions as I learned new information about the
contemporary world and how globalization happens.Nevertheless, it is still a wholesome video
to watch and you can definitely understand what the contemporary world is. It’s incredible how
the human mind works and how we humans are never content and always seek a better life for
us in order to be fulfilled.
