HOLIDAY

I like holidays because I don’t have to go to school and I can be with my family and friends.

At school we have several holidays:

- Autumn holiday (usually one week long)

- Winter holiday (2 weeks long)
- Spring (Easter) holiday
- Summer holiday

Summer holiday is the longest holiday we have. I usually go on holiday with my parents. I usually spend
about a week with my parents and brother in the mountains. We love Austria, we have been on holiday
there 2 or 3 times. We travel there by car. We usually stay in an apartment or small hotel. We are always
active during our holiday: we go sightseeing, go walking in the mountains or go cycling. Sightseeing is
interesting because you can see a lot of nice buildings, monuments or churches. You learn a lot about
the history of the place your are visiting. We always take many photos and we make videos, too. We
don’t really like beach holidays, because we think it is boring and we don’t like sunbathing.

I think it is important to go on holiday because everybody needs to relax and forget about work and
responsibilities.

 When we go on holiday we take some clothes, shoes with us. It is important to have sunscreen
in our bag because we can easily get burnt (fontos, hogy legyen nálunk naptej, mert könnyen
leéghetünk). If we have to cook during our holiday we take some food with us.
 Active holiday – sightseeing, cycling, walking in the mountains
 Passive holiday- sunbathing, reading, doing “nothing”
