ABSTRACT
Dear colleagues
As the vice president of the South East Asian Thoracic Society and the organizing chairman, it is
my distinct pleasure to welcome you all to the annual meeting for 2023. This year's meeting is
taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, one of the most vibrant and enchanting cities in the world.
The South East Asian Thoracic Society was founded with the mission of promoting thoracic sur
gical care across Southeast Asia, and since last year, the annual conference has been becoming
our most important vehicle for building connections, sharing knowledge and promoting the
standard of care. The rich history and profound cultural and healthcare setting diversity of this
region make it a particularly exciting place to work, and we are thrilled to welcome attendees
from South East Asia, Asia and across the globe to this year's event.
This year's conference promises to be one of the most exciting and dynamic yet. Featuring a
wide range of presentations, workshops, and multidisciplinary discussions, this year's program
has been carefully crafted to ensure that all attendees, regardless of their level of experience or
specialty, will come away with valuable insights and new strategies for promoting high standard
of care for thoracic patients in the region.
So, on behalf of the entire South East Asian Thoracic Society, we extend a warm welcome to all
of you. We look forward to a productive and inspiring few days of learning, networking, and
