1. Circulate the approved Company Environmental Policy, to all existing quality critical
suppliers and sub-contractors who supply products and/or services which have a potential
environmental impact on the Organisation’s activities. 2. Provide the approved Company
Environmental Policy to all new quality critical suppliers and sub-contractors 3. Circulate the
approved Company Environmental Policy to all existing employees including displaying on
internal notice boards at all sites 4. Provide the approved Company Environmental Policy as
part of induction procedures to all new employees 5. Inform all existing and new customers
Actions
of ISO 14001 status during all future marketing activities 6. Wherever possible incorporate
ISO 14001 certification logo in promotional materials, corporate stationery and other
branded media 7. Regularly provide background facts and figures, e.g. waste, water and
energy costs and usage 8. Appointing an environmental champion can help with addressing
these issues. The champion can set a positive example of the benefits of adopting the
changes you are promoting. They need to be enthusiastic, personable, good communicators
and have a positive attitude to environmental issues
Preparing for these events is essential in order to reduce impacts on human health and the
environment on which we depend, and to allow a more effective response and recovery.
Emergency
Communication is a key aspect in increasing awareness to prevent emergency situations
