reflective paper sample (Red and light gray)
received from Unilex sign systems Co.

A reflective paper sample (Geometric - Red and Light Gray) was received by the
Paints, Plastics, and Rubber Unit at the National Research Centre from " Unilex
sign systems Co." This sample, used in the "Cairo Gate" project executed by the
"Kharafi National" company with the project consultant being (RMC), is to be
tested according to the American specifications AASHTO No. (AASHTO M268)
and (ASTM D4956), as well as the specifications of the General Authority for
Roads and Bridges. This was stated in the letter dated 24/10/2022... Below are
the results.
Firstly: General description of the sample paper (Geometric - Red):
 The received sample is a piece of plastic paper, square-shaped with
dimensions of (47×55 cm) and an approximate thickness of (0.25 mm) for
both the sample and its cover. It is a smooth, its color is red, its surface is
smooth, glossy, transparent, and there's a thin layer of paper attached to its
back that can be easily removed. The sample can be effortlessly adhered to
clean, smooth surfaces without the use of solvents or heat to clean smooth
surfaces (cold affixed).
 The sample does not have any data, marks, stamps, or signatures on it, except
for the product name (ORACAL Transparent Cal 8300), the name of the
producing company (ORAFOL), and a signature by the name of George
Edward along with a bank signature.
Tests: A paper sample (Geometric - Red) produced by (ORAFOL), product type
(ORACAL Transparent Cal 8300), used in the "Cairo Gate" project executed by
the "Kharafi National" company with the project consultant being (RMC).
All tests were conducted at a temperature of 23o Celsius

deformations or excess in the corners during the
cutting process.

 The received sample is a piece of plastic paper, square-shaped with
dimensions of (30×64 cm) and an approximate thickness of (0.32 mm) for
both the sample and its cover. It has a smooth, its color is light gray, its surface
is smooth, glossy, transparent, and there's a thin layer of paper attached to its
back that can be easily removed. The sample can be effortlessly adhered to
clean, smooth surfaces without the use of solvents or heat to clean smooth
surfaces (cold affixed).
 The sample does not have any data, marks, stamps, or signatures on it, except
for the product name (Reflective Sheeting), the Trade name (DM), and a
signature by the name of George Edward along with a bank signature.

Comment on the results:
 The paper sample (Geometric - Red) produced by (ORAFOL), product
type (ORACAL Transparent Cal 8300), and used in the "Cairo Gate"
project executed by the "Kharafi National" company with the project
consultant being (RMC)... passed all tests mentioned in the American
Standard Specification AASHTO No. (AASHTO M268) and (ASTM
D4956).
 The paper sample (Geometric – light gray) produced by (DM), product
type (Reflective Sheeting), and used in the "Cairo Gate" project executed
by the "Kharafi National" company with the project consultant being
(RMC)... passed all tests mentioned in the American Standard
Specification AASHTO No. (AASHTO M268) and (ASTM D4956).
 This result, based on the two samples provided to the Paints, Plastics, and
Rubber Unit at the National Research Centre, is recognized by the client
"Unilex sign systems Co" with no liability whatsoever on the unit or the
National Research Centre.
