1. WHAT IS AN ACTION PLAN?

An action plan resembles an act in that it assists us in making our aspirations come true. After
all, it guarantees that the organization's vision is realized. It outlines how your organization plans
to implement its strategy to achieve its goals. A plan of action, in essence, entails a number of
actions or alterations that must be made in your neighborhood.
Each action step or change to be sought should include the following information:
What actions or changes will occur?
Who will carry out these changes?
By when they will take place, and for how long
What resources (i.e., money, staff) are needed to carry out these changes
Communication (who should know what?)

2. WHY DO WE NEED TO CREATE AN ACTION PLAN?

The benefits are many:
It keeps you focused on the important things
It keeps you on track
It helps you measure your progress
It motivates you to keep going
It helps you maintain self-discipline
Without a plan, you have no focus. It's easier to get distracted by things that will not move you
forward toward your goals, so action plans are very important!

3. WHO DEVELOPS AN ACTION PLAN?
Action plans may be used by people to design a strategy for achieving their own personal goals
in addition to project management. An action plan consists of seven steps: setting objectives,
assessing the objectives, identifying action required to meet the objectives, working out how to
evaluate the activity, agreeing on a time frame for action, identifying resources (human,
financial, and technical), finalizing the plan, and evaluating the results. It's great to have
everything listed down in one place because it makes it easier to track progress and effectively
plan things out.
