2. The standard contract (IMC25) will be offered on promotion to current colleagues but isn’t compulsory i.e. colleagues can stay on their
existing IMC contract.
3. Ex-apprentices who, as part of the agreed recruitment pause, received a salary increase to the relevant IMC salary but not an IMC contract
will have the choice of the applicable IMC contract or IMC25 on appointment to first permanent role
4. An expression of interest window will operate for colleagues interested in exploring the benefits of a voluntary lateral transfer to IMC25.
Transfers will take effect from 1st October 2024.
5. There are c10,000 colleagues in Maintenance & Works Delivery, 67 different contracts and pay, premiums etc varies - its complicated.
6. 4,800 (c45%) colleagues would be overall better off, on average by 6%, if they transferred to the standard contract, which provides the
most generous annual leave & London allowances. 67% would be better off on base salary.
7. Creates a route for Amey ‘40 hour’ colleagues to transition to a 35-hour week and benefit from an increase in their pensionable pay, for
future service, from 60% of salary to the maximum of salary (in line with pension rules)
8. All 3 grades, Operatives, Technicians & Team Leaders benefit from the IMC25 base salary
• Colleagues currently employed in the Maintenance & Works Delivery organisations are unaffected by the standardisation
of employment contracts for new recruits and will remain on their current contract of employment.
• In the case of promotion, colleagues employed on an IMC contract other than the standard contract (GTRM/Carillion) will
be offered the choice of promotion on their existing contract or the standard contract.

1. Expressions of interest so colleagues can explore the benefits of a voluntary transfer to the standard
contract without any commitment – opens from March 2024.
2. Offers of transfer will be made based on a colleague’s existing grade and engineering discipline which will
be mapped to the standard contract grades
4. Where a colleague’s base salary is higher than the relevant standard contract salary, their pre-transfer salary
will be maintained and frozen until the standard contract salary rate is higher. At which time, their base
salary will be increased accordingly. Pension continues to be calculated using a colleague’s actual salary.

5. The IMC25 leave entitlement will start from 1st January 2025
6. Once transferred, colleagues are unable to move back to their previous IMC contract, or transfer to
any other IMC contract, in any circumstances including on promotion.
7. Offers of voluntary transfer will not be made to those colleagues who have accepted voluntary
redundancy.
8. There are many contracts of employment, with different pay and terms and conditions. An on-line
calculator is available on MyConnect and we will work with reps through consultation on how to
provide colleagues with information and support.
