The "Art for Values'' project aims to
educate 10 children between the ages of 7-11
about good Filipino values with the power of
art and creativity. The project will take place
in Barangay Pembo, where the implementers
have observed a tendency for children to
develop bad values at an early age. The Ka-
ArtTech group and "Art for Values'' project
highlights the use of artistic activities and
technology to teach the children about values
such as:

Makapamilya (Family First and Last),

Katapatan (Sincerity and Loyalty) Mabuting
pakikitungo at awa (compassion for others) and
Magalang (Respectful). Through Role-Playing and
Art Collage Activity for the children of
barangay.

In addition, the project will utilize

technology such as our own videos to share
online the importance of maintaining good
Filipino values, online selling to raise funds, and
online feedback forms to evaluate the
project's success.
As our society continues to progress, change is indeed
inevitable. However, not all change is intended for good. One
of the most noticeable changes in our society is the change
in the behavior and attitude of today’s generation. One
cause that may be linked towards this issue is children’s
excessive and unmonitored use of technology, specifically
social media. Wherein, they may be exposed to contents
that are contradicting the good Filipino values that they
should embody. Aside from that, because of their excessive
use of technology, children nowadays do not have much time
to create art, which may help in the development of their
creativity. Arts that can be a wonderful outlet of their
emotions, thoughts, and opinions. If this situation continues
to persist, good Filipino values may soon be forgotten by
the coming generations and children’s interest in art may
diminish. Two factors that are very important for children
to continue to possess as they grow up and become a part
of the working sector.

In light of the social problems stated above, the
following statement determines the objectives
of the Art for Values Project:

To inculcate Filipino values and right

conduct to young generation through
art
To purposely enkindle the importance
of art as an avenue to communicate
one’s thought and feelings
To help children cultivate and develop
their creativity and imagination.
To encourage and stimulate the sense
of camaraderie, integrity, respect, and
compassion for one another.
To observe the fulfillment of the following
objectives above, The Ka-ArtTech project
will consist of three phases to conduct:

Pre-implementation
- The Ka-ArtTech team will outline and asses
their project planning and scheduling.

Implementation
- The Ka-ArtTech team will gather and
interview target participants, followed by a
discussion and commencing of activities,
including the distribution of token gifts.

Post-Implementation
- The Ka-ArtTech team will proceed to short
video making, acquiring feedback from the
viewers, and presenting the final project in
the class.
1st Activity: “Values Walk"
Introduction: Start by introducing the activity and explaining the importance of
learning about Filipino values and character.

The Value Stations: Implementers will set up 4 stations around the area, each
with a different good Filipino value such as: Makapamilya (Family First and Last),
Katapatan (Sincerity and Loyalty) Mabuting pakikitungo at awa (compassion for
others) and Magalang (Respectful). At each station, an image drawing or symbol
represents the value.

Explain Values: The implentors will explain each of the values at the corresponding
station, using stories or visual aids examples that illustrate the value.

"Walk" the Values: Have the children move around the room, stopping at each
station to learn about the corresponding value. At each station, ask the children
to share their own experiences related to the value.

Role-Play: Once the children have visited all the stations, divide them into groups
and ask each group to come up with a short skit or role-play that demonstrates
one of the values they learned.

Present Skits: Have each group present their skit to the rest of the class.
Encourage the children to use their creativity and imagination to come up with
fun and engaging presentations.

Discuss and Reflect: After each skit, have a short discussion about the value
being demonstrated and how it can be applied in real-life situations. Encourage
the children to reflect on what they learned from the activity.

2nd activity: "Values in a Box" Collage:

Children can create a collage of objects that represent different Filipino values,
such as a heart for compassion or a star for excellence. This game can teach
them about the importance of
good Filipino values in their daily lives and teamwork as they have to create it as
a team. This would also serve as the ending poster of our Group Action Project.

After completing the activities and the children have finished their drawings, To
encourage and support their learning, tokens such as small gifts and snacks can
be given to them. This will not only reinforce their learning but also help build
their confidence in learning.

1ce Breaker: “The Wonders of

Values"

Instruction: Start by letting the

kids to pick a piece of paper
(values) from a container and let
them share their thoughts and
ideas about it. Afterwards, we will
give them some snacks for
participating.
In addition to the use of artistic activities and
technology to teach the children about good Filipino
values, the "Art for Values" project also includes
Post-event tasks / Follow-up actions

One of these is the creation of a short video

related to the project, which will be posted on
YouTube and Facebook to share with a wider
audience and promote the importance of good
values in the community.

Another important aspect of the project is the

use of Google Forms to evaluate the responses of
the children and their parents to the project.
This feedback will be crucial in assessing the
success of the project and making improvements
for future iterations.

Lastly, The final action project presentation. This

presentation will be made in class and will be
shared among the other groups or our co-youth.
