1. CART DESIGN

1.1 Concept

A road is a transportation system that allows the movement of vehicles in conditions of

continuity in space and time and that requires a certain level of security, speed and comfort. It can

be one or more lanes, each road can be made up of one or more lanes and have one or more both

directions of circulation, according to the volumes in the demand of the traffic, vehicle

composition, functional classification and distribution directional.

The road is designed based on the Peruvian standard that is the Ministry of Transportation

and Communications. This standard is mandatory for application by the competent authorities

throughout the national territory for road projects for public use, as appropriate. For road safety

reasons, all private road projects must comply at least with this standard.

It must also be taken into account that the construction of a road influences important way

in the economic development of a region, increasing the production and consumption, reducing

costs, thus improving the quality of life of the population located in the area of influence.

Nowadays, mainly in underdeveloped countries, it has implemented the construction of roads

through the concession system, which has allowed these countries to improve their road

infrastructure, generating then greater economic and social development
