WHAT IS INFORMATION LITERACY


Information literacy is the ability to find, evaluate, organize, use, and
communicate information in all its various formats, most notably in situations requiring decision
making, problem solving, or the acquisition of knowledge.
Information need is often understood as an individual or group's desire to locate and
obtain information to satisfy a conscious or unconscious need.

Criterias to be considered in organizing information

Information Ethics
- Is concerned with ethical, legal and societal aspects of using information and
information and communication
technologies.

SUMMARY:

The evolution of media, from old media to new media, has transformed the way we
understand the world around us, it truly provide us the comfort of interactions. however,
the most important matter is how we deliver the information through the use of
communication in a much more sensitive, responsible and reliable manner. Information
goes around everywhere for each one of us needs information to communicate in our daily lives
and to be able to do our daily task as well. However everything should always be in control and
have limitations. We should always remember that there are laws or guidelines when it comes to
dealing with information that will also provide us ethics. Let us always use information wisely and
responsibly.
