Line children up. Choose a child in the line and tell them that you

are starting a count, counting up in 2 s. One half. They respond by
saying the next number, One, then quickly choose another child
and clap their hands at them. The second child says the next
number in the halves count, One and a half. They choose a child
to say the next number, clap at them and so on. Keep a brisk
pace, and a clear rhythm; Half, clap, One, clap, One and a half,
clap, Two, clap, Two and a half, clap … and so on.
