I. Objectives
At the end of the discussion the students should be able to:
provide a story map that will show the connections and value of
setting, plot, and character in developing a story,
determine the meaning of unfamiliar words and,
reflect and give their own strength and weakness base on their own
perspective.

Greetings
Greet the students then ask them to seat properly.
Checking of attendance
V. Application’
Read the story “Orpheus” once again. Determine the tone, mood,
technique, and purpose of the author in writing the text.
VI. Generalization
What are the greatest strength of Orpheus? What was his weakness?
What effect did Orpheus music have on people and gods?
Why did Orpheus decided to rescue his wife from the underworld?
Why did Orpheus look back to see if Eurydice was following him?
What reasons might the gods have for allowing Orpheus and Eurydice
to be reunited?
VII. Evaluation
SHOW WHAT YOU GOT
Students will be groups into (6) six. Each group will do the following assigned task.
Each will present it to the class after 10 minutes of preparation.
Create a cheer or a rap that suggest the use of strengths in times of trouble.

VIII. Assignment
Chose a character from a movie, cartoon,. comic book, anime or Kdrama that you
admire the most because of the things he/she can do for his/her loved one.
Cut out a picture of that character; paste it on a bond paper. Then, cite some situations
wherein he/she was able to sacrifice a lot for that person. Relate yourself to that
character.
