LESSON PLAN IN Physical Education 3

I. LEARNING TARGETS

At the end of the 60-minute period, the students will be able


to:
a. define the Body shapes and Actions;
b. move the body properly in response to the actions that creates
shapes and;
c. engage in fun and enjoyable physical activities.

A. Topic: Body shapes and Actions

C. References: K-to-12 Curriculum Guide in P.E (Grade 3)
D. Materials: Powerpoint, P.E Uniform, Ballpen, paper

III. LEARNING EXPERIENCES

A. MOTIVATION
Warm-up
The students will imagine that they are in a car travelling on the
road.The traffic lights will give
them instructions about how they should move and when they should
stop. The teacher will call out a color and the students should follow
and perform on the given instructions

Red: Stop
Yellow: Jog on the spot
Green: Jump

B. INTRODUCTION
Sing a song
The students will listen to the song with actions given by the
teacher and they will sing then follow the movements.
After singing and introducing the action of the song, the teacher
will ask questions.

1. What actions did you perform while singing?


2. What shapes did you form with your body?
3. How did you do it? Can you show it?

C. INTERACTION
Brainstorming

● The class will divide into 3 groups.


Each group will gather according to their members and share their
ideas about Body Shapes and Actions.
● Each group must choose their representative to share their ideas
about the topic.

Lecture/Discussion

After the activity the pupils must sit properly while their teacher is
discussing and will listen or follow the warm up activities that can form
a shape according to the discussion.

D. INTEGRATION
Pairing

● The pupils will find their partners and do the Routinary activities that are
being discussed by the teacher.
● Their respective partner will give them a grade according to the given
criteria.
● They must perform it well so that they can get a high grade.

IV. EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT/QUIZ

Directions: The picture is all about actions that create shapes. Choose the
name of the shape in the box. (2 pts. each)

V. ASSIGNMENT

● The pupils will practice at home the different body shapes and actions.

● Pupils must take 5 pictures while performing at home and put it in short
bond paper with 1 inch margin.
