SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN

(Nutrition: 6 Classifications of Nutrients)

I.OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, learners are expected to:
a.Demonstrates understanding of nutrition for a healthy life.
b.Classify the different types of nutrients.
c. Develop or practice different skills, such as critical thinking and
decision-making skills in selecting food to eat.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


a.Topic: Nutrition: 6 Classifications of Nutrients
b.Materials: Cartolina, pictures, pen markers, TV screen, and projector.
c. Reference: DepEd Learning Curriculum Guide in Grade 10.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preparation
● A volunteer to lead the prayer is going to be chosen by the
teacher.
● Attendance shall be checked by the instructor.
● The instructor will introduce herself and go over the rules with
the students.

B. Motivation
● The class shall be divided into six groups, each of which will
have five minutes to arrange the cutout pictures. After they are
finished, the groups will place the photographs on the board and
select one representative to explain and describe each picture.

C. Presentation
● The instructor will introduce the subject in light of the prior
activities. The lesson's objectives will then be read by the
students.

D. Discussion
● Through a brainstorming exercise using the TV screen, the
instructor will present the new issue to the class and ask them to
analyze it.
● Using a PowerPoint presentation, she will cover the subject of
the Six Classifications of Nutrients.
● Allow the students to practice and develop a variety of abilities,
such as making decisions about what to eat.
● The learners will engage in interactive learning by asking
questions and repeating parts of the material that they do not
understand.

F. Application
● The teacher is going to utilize counting to divide the students
into three groups: group 1 is for the artists, who will create a
poster or slogan; group 2 would be the poets or bards, who will
create a brief poem; and group 3 should be the songsters.
- Title of the activity: Lights Camera Action!

H. Generalization
● By posing questions to the class about the subject, the instructor
will wrap up the lecture. She will also share her thoughts on the
significance of leading a healthy lifestyle and how it impacts our
day-to-day activities.

IV. Evaluation
● A true-or-false quiz is going to be provided by the teacher.
Instructions: Type FALSE if the statement
is incorrect and TRUE if it is correct.

1.Good nutrition means eating the right amount of healthful foods.


2.Is it right to skip meals and eat in bulk when you are already hungry?
3.Calories are units of heat that measure the energy used.
4.Fruits and Vegetables are the foundation of a healthy diet.
5.Fats are needed by the body to build healthy bones and teeth.

V. Assignment
● The learners are required to create a 30-second video
presentation outlining the significance of adhering to the right
dietary requirements for a balanced diet in day-to-day living. The
assignment will be turned in by the students using Google
Classroom.
