The World’s Worst Research Presentation

The video is about the worst presentation with an actor impersonating Dr. Fisher-Katz from

Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a fictional character with no real affiliations to any

institution or entity.

The whole presentation was a mess. The speaker came unprepared and throughout the

whole video, there were so many distractions such as, wrong presentation and phone calls. The

presentation were not arranged properly. The presenter did not maintain eye contact with the

audience and kept reading her notes. One of the worst parts is that she answered the student

unprofessionally. She also only read her presentation and did not elaborate it or explained it further

for the students. She also skipped some of her slides from the presentation.

You can see from the video that it accurately depicts reality. We may recall other speakers

that we had encountered back then who used similar presentational techniques. When we face that

type of presentation, we consistently experience boredom, lack of focus, frustration, and disinterest.

We cannot learn anything from those presenters, hence they are without a doubt the worst. These

presentation techniques can have an impact on both the presenter and the audience. No matter how

good your presentation is, if you cannot clearly explain it, it is pointless since the audience has to

listen to the presenter to understand what the presentation is actually for. We should constantly

keep in mind that a boring presentation will result in a poor grade.

The movie depicts potential outcomes of our presentation if we are not well prepared. We

shouldn't pack too much information onto our slide when creating the presentation. Additionally,

by being prepared, we may enhance our presentation or method of presentation as it is one of

the most significant things to do before presenting. Additionally, in order to avoid distractions and

maintain our momentum when reporting, we must always set up properly and switch off our cell

phones before presenting.

We must keep eye contact, which is one of the most important things. We cannot always

read straight from our notes. We must be familiar with our material so that we can respond to any

questions from students with understanding and clarity on any points that may be unclear to them

or that they wish to have clarified. Moreover, the most crucial aspect of all is to display your work

with the proper attitude and passion.
