I. INTRODUCTION
The Campus Journalism Act of 1991 upholds and protects the freedom of the press even at
the campus level. It promotes the development and growth of campus journalism as a means of
strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and creative thinking and developing moral
character and personal discipline of the Filipino youth.
Pursuant to this declared policy, Bislig Central Elementary School and Special Science
Elementary School created a School Paper Organization to train the young campus journalists to
become better bearers of truth and empower them in expressing their thoughts responsibly.
To continuously develop the writing skills and other talents of our school children concerning
journalism, Bislig Central Special Science Elementary School allocated an amount from the SSES Fund
to be able to conduct this training in the school.
