STRUCTURES - GENERAL
1. Scope
A. This chapter provides a brief description of general airplane structures, airframe drainage and corrosion
characteristics.
2. Definitions
A. This chapter is divided to aid maintenance personnel in finding information. A brief description of each
division follows:
(1) The portion on airframe provides a brief description of airframe components such as wing section,
nose section, cabin section, nonpressurized tailcone, empennage and airframe drainage to include a
figure to show location of moisture drain holes.
(2) The portion on corrosion provides a brief description of corrosion characteristics, types of corrosion
and typical corrosion areas.
