I. Differentiate the Special Categories of Children with at least sixty (60) words
Answer: Dependent child who is without parents or guardian, and is dependent upon the
public for support and good cause desire of his care and custody. Abandoned child on
other hand, has no proper parental care or whose parents, guardian deserted him for a
period of at least six (6) continuous months and the last categories of children is neglected
child whose basic needs like shelter, food, and clothes have been deliberately unattended.

II. Give a scenario of Physical and Neglected Child

Answer: Neglected Child refers to a child whose basic needs have been deliberately
unattended or inadequately attended to within a period of three (3) continuous
months. Physical Neglect is one of the 2 ways that neglect may occur. When we say
Physical and neglected child it is when the child is malnourished, ill-clad, and without
proper shelter, and is unattended when left by himself/herself without proper
provisions and/or without proper supervision.

III. Explain the Classification of Mental Retardation as to how we discussed it.

Answer: Custodial group are those group with I.Q.s level is 25 this group is the slow
learners and hard to teach in school works or activities. While the trainable group
consist of I.Q.s level from about 25 to 50, you need to teach or train them to acquire
higher academic skills. Educable group on other hand is the group of fast learners and
the I.Q.s ranges from 50 to 75 and can develop occupational skills and the borderline or
low normal group is the highest group among the three with I.Q.s 75 to 89 these
classifications can usually get by in regular classes.

IV. What is the difference between Reception and Study Center to Child Placing
Agency
Answer: Reception and Study Center refers to an institution that receives for study,
diagnosis, and temporary treatment, children who have behavioral problems for the
purpose of determining the appropriate care for them or recommending their
permanent treatment or rehabilitation in other child welfare agencies. While Child
Placing Agency, it is an institution where in adoption process takes place and KBF is
currently one of only two private child and family welfare agencies licensed and
accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to
implement domestic adoption in the Philippines.
V. In a simple explanation, how will you explain sexual, physical, psychological and
emotional abuse to a teenage girl who at some point experience this, hence,
encouraging her to ask for legal authorities' help?
Answer: Sexual violence is referring to act of sexual harassment, or attempting to
cause the victim to engage in any sexual activity by force. Physical violence on other
hand refers to act that include physical abuse or violence to the women’s while the
psychological and emotional refers to acts causing mental or emotional suffering of the
victim such as harassment and stalking.
