Roles and Functions

of
Nutritionist- Dietitian (ND)/UHC Implementer

1. Assist in the implementation of Philippine Plan of Action for

Nutrition
2. Assist in the organization of Nutrition Action Planning
Workshop and ensure finalization and annual updating
3. Assist LGU in preparing nutrition-related inputs ( nutrition
specific interventions and nutrition sensitive interventions )
for the LGU Annual Investment Program
4. Assist in the conduct of advocacy for the adoption and
financing of local nutrition plans
5. Assist and provide technical assistance in the
implementation of nutrition specific interventions in
coordination with the Municipal Health Office.
6. Assist in the implementation of nutrition education and
advocacy campaigns in coordination with MHO and MNAO
7. Participate in data gathering and response during health
emergencies and disasters on nutrition related concerns
8. Assist in documenting good practices and initiatives in
nutrition and nutrition related programs and activities
9. Assist in the submission of Nutrition data reports (OPT, GP,
SAM, IYCF, EBF and others).
10. Perform other related functions as maybe assigned
subject to the approval of DOH

Note: ND shall be assign in priority municipalities /ILHZ/District.
